One of the best moments for me was when Haseena's husband suggested that she stops wearing her veil after the aggression by saying "Allah will understand, this people never will". Dunno why it made me so emotional, I'm not even a Muslim, wore a veil for like two hours of my life for visiting mosques in Istanbul, but it somehow resonated so much. Today, February 17, marks 14 years since the premiere of this wonderful film. Thanks to this movie I learned that you should not judge people, whether based on their ethnicity, their sexual orientation, their thoughts, whether religious or political, or their gender. That there are good people and bad people in this world and you have to be yourself without fear of what others will say. May everything you set your mind to do from the heart to face your fears and difficulties that life proposes to us. Besides, this movie was one of the keys to knowing what I was since I identified with Khan, the protagonist. When I was little I felt different from others and I felt that something was not right in me and thanks to this movie I was able to understand what was happening to me and little by little overcome the adversities and difficulties that life poses to me. Anyway, happy 14th anniversary of this beautiful film.
