George Chadwick, an American composer, Has been lost in time for too many years. He difinitely needs to be "rediscovered" ! In this very fine performance, it is obvious that we are all missing a most valuable part of American Music Culture... Congratulations to the LAVSO for programming Chadwick's music !

I appreciate this rare opportunity of enjoying a live performance of Chadwick's "Euterpe" uploaded to KZbin (most, if not all, uploads of Chadwick's music are audio only). I thank the Valley Symphony Orchestra players and their conductor, Michael H. Arshagouni, for the admirable effort. Admittedly, this is not an orchestra (only two double-basses?) of the stature comparable to, say, the renowned Boston Symphony or the Cleveland Orchestra, and some instruments sound like not fully in tune in ensemble playing, the players' participation in sharing their enthusiasm is to be commended. I hope more live performances of Chadwick's music can be uploaded in the future, following the lead of the Valley Symphony Orchestra.

This is an amateur recording so the sound is not so good. But the orchestra plays very good!
