I am to fat to make sprint-dive in these beautifull short-fins. Need to lose weith. At least from 90 to 82? Trust me, 8kg, this is huge figure for diving, espessially for freediving They will be more faster, than I have today`s weiht.

@@kaluimoku2467 yeah, but the dumb stick is just a piece of plastic pipe with a hole drilled in it for way too much of a markup.

Have been to where they were, no mask, fins, snorkel. Bupkis. The depth varies, with the river, as much as 4', seasonally, as it's a short run.

Consider getting a better gun/reel set up, diving bridges with no reel on your gun is quite dangerous

I remember when this was a toll causeway. Used to fish while watching the dolphins round up their meals. Other times it was crossing over to Patrick's AFB to surf. Good times!

Jesse, just got back from Blue Springs. It was great. Got down to about 30 ft. I know this from your vid. Going back in July. Question: Do the longer fins make a significant difference? Love your channel. Peace.
@FloridaDivingandLobstering Жыл бұрын
Hey David, they do make a noticeable difference. The tradeoff is that they aren't as maneuverable so I use a smaller pair when I am in 25 ft or less.

Thanks for this! I'm a scuba diver but I've got a trip coming up where I am hoping to swim with whales - no tanks allowed, so freediving only. I've been advised to get some freediving fins instead of bringing my trust old Mares Plana Avanti (open heel) fins and I these caught my eye for ease of travelling... I'm pleased to hear your thoughts, and good to hear they work well for surface swimming too. Thanks again!

Spectacular filming in a spectacular place! I need help though. Decades ago when I was free diving I had a canvas weight belt with two rows of 1/2 " brass rings running from top and bottom, the length of the belt . For a buckle it had two large 4" brass rings. It was fantastic! Comfortable around the skin, strong as hell, secure in the ring buckle and fast on the 'quick release'. Where can I find such a belt? The dive shops have these stupid hard fiberglass belts that cut your skin with a plastic buckle that can malfunction and will dry rot over time. Seems like the old school belt I had was by far superior to what the new dive shops carry these days. Please help this 'Diver with no belt'.
@FloridaDivingandLobstering Жыл бұрын
Hey mark I am not sure. I use a rubber weight belt and it is pretty comfortable.

I'm going to try this in a few days. I live in Idaho and I've never been to Florida. Heading to Cocoa Beach Saturday. What equipment do you recommend? Also, do ai only need a non-resident saltwater fishing license?
@FloridaDivingandLobstering2 жыл бұрын
Good luck!That should be the only liscense you need. Key West Waterman just did a video exploring that area and found that there weren't any fish currently around the pilings. I would highly recommend that you dive there with a dive buddy, as the vis is pretty bad and there is alot of debris on the bottom.

@FloridaDivingandLobstering2 жыл бұрын
Hey Zephyrus, It is doable, but certainly easier with shorter fins. I just bought and have been trying out some medium sized fins called the Cressi Sprint. I really like them and will do a review on them soon!
