I will seek multiple screenings of this film, if for no other reason than to wrap my head around the brilliant manipulation of time. Do not expect conventional parallel editing in this film, rather cross-cutting between highly personal perspectives spanning disperate time periods of one week, one day and one hour. From distant, impersonal perspectives of Battlefield Maps and High overhead airborne points of view, through perspectives from sea and ground level to those claustrophobic air- and sea- ship Interiors, into the most suffocating non-landscapes of the Mind. All from a two-dimensional cinematic experience.

Good review! I personally loved this movie, the cinematography and score was fantastic. It really set you in that environment and created so much tension. I do understand why people would dislike this movie though it did have a lack of character development, and while I really enjoyed the nonlinear storytelling I think that would be off putting to people.

I agree this movie is pretty disappointing, I was hoping for a lot more considering it is supposed to start this huge universe. Nice review!

I've always really liked Christian as a kid, my sister was and still is a HUGE Christian fan. It wasn't until I got older and we both talked about his career, did I really grow to respect and love Christian. He's one of the few really good guys (he's always been grateful to fans) and I miss not seeing him on TV. God, if he could be out there doing something that Jericho does, that would be phenomenal. There's so many dream match ups I have that I don't think we will ever see. As far as I know, Christian has retired and his contract with the WWE expired.

How to watch Prometheus and Alien Covenant: Realize it's a movie series from now on that is not really stand alone movies, once the 4 movies are completed, they will work-as a series together.

Wow Billy, I had the exact opposite reaction. I enjoyed the movie. I liked it more than the first, which I think had many of the issues you describe here. It gets a little too cartoony in places, but I thought it bested the first on many levels. I would compare it to a comedic Empire Strikes Back.

I would pay to have a conversation with this guy, he knows what he needs to do with the cards he's got and always keeps it real. Everything he said is true specially the part about putting the art first. It's true he hasn't been in too many movies but the ones he's been in have always been really good and had great messages behind.

Apocalypse Now (1979) of course criticized Vietnam. Plus, Robert Altman's Secret Honor in which Phillip Baker Hall plays Nixon came out in 1984.

when Warrior came out everyone was quick to announce that Tom Hardy was the next big star ( and he is) but Edgerton was just as good. He was the emotional glue to the story. This guy is the real deal, The gift was an exceptional debut for a new director. ..he will win an Oscar within five years ( Hardy too)

I'm surprised they didn't even bother to mention the movie Nixon which I thought was pretty good when I saw it, or the fact that they made at least one Raegan made-for-tv movie that was pro-Raegan

Foltz Returns. CineFiles Salvation. The Civil War airport scenes were incredible and Deadpool was really funny but BvS was dire, Apocalypse collapsed under its own weight and Suicide Squad was absolute shite. The Round Table is back on Cinefiles... Hallelujah!

I totally disagree about Jeremy Renner. Either way, Civil War was amazing, and easily, handily the best of the year (though Age of Ultron is still my favorite of the MCU films). I also *loved* Zemo. I think he and Ultron are legitametly great villains, better an Loki and on par with the Netflux villains.
