Good point :) Yes, I changed the factory 250K potentiometers for 500K Alpha potentiometers, and it gives it a more crisp sound, it gives more definition to the muddiness of the characteristic sound of the pbass. It is a good and cheap upgrade to further improvise the sound of a one-trick pony of the pbass 😉

Gracias Guille!! Si, el mito de los instrumentos 'entry level' o 'para estudiar' jajaja. Lo único que le hice fué una calibración para adaptarlo a mi calibre (130), y cambio de potes por potes Alpha de 500K (para retener agudos y darle un carácter mas crocante) El resto, está todo de fábrica, clavijas, puente, pastilla, y mantiene la estabilidad bárbaro. Excelente el Leonard, el cuerpo es de madera sólida, ya con escuchar el audio de los videos, da una idea del tono y el timbre del instrumento. Abrazo grande Guille!!

Floyd, this is a very generic chinese bass. The brand depends on the country, it has a different name, it is a white label, and then in each country the importer puts a decal on it to sell it in the local market. This one was labeled here in Argentina with the name 'Parquer'. As far as I know, in America and other parts of the world, it has the decal 'Glarry' or 'Harley Benton' (especially the older and cheaper models are the same ones that this). Here in the third world they always sell us the latest and the worst LOL :D Anyway, it plays and sounds great! :-) Basswood solid body, and maple neck (with synthetic rosewood fretboard)

Another brand with great Stingray look basses is 'Stagg'. Nice, cheap, and pretty 🙂

Thank you very much! 🙂 It's a chinese white brand bass (generic) imported from China to Argentina. Here its a many popular cheap brand, with good reviews and quality standards called 'Parquer'. They have a web, instrumentosparquer dot com. This basses and guitars (check my daphne blue strat from my new videos) Comes to argentina without decal or brand in the headstock, later here put the brand 'Parquer'. All are solid body and sounds great. In this video I remove the active circuit and put a traditional jazz bass circuit, sound so much better than factory

By the way, its a chinese generic and non-brand bass, later here, put a decal in the headstock. Just search in your country chinese basses and compare, maybe the headstock shape helps. Are the same chinese basses all over the world. Here, called 'Parquer', maybe in another country are the same and calls it diffrent

Hello, it cost about 200 dollars here in south america. But that's what you get cheaply here. I would have liked a sterling, but here in my country, monetary inflation is devastating the country, and everything that is second brands is unattainable, and cannot be allowed. It's what we can afford at the moment my friend, but I'm not complaining, at least it sounds good :-) Thanks for commenting 🙂
