Is there a limit on the number of homeowners that can speak on any given motion? For examples, can a Board President dictate that only three homeowners can speak in favor of a motion and three can speak against the motion; then select only those homeowners the President chooses to address the Board on that motion, excluding others who may wish to comment?

This is an old video but A NOTICE OF LATE ASSESSMENT WAS SENT TO ME BY MY HOA 4YRS AFTER THE PAYMENT WAS PAST DUE I NEVER GOT IT AS I HAD A TENANT LIVING ON THE PREMISES. MY LAST PAYMENT TO THEM WAS IN JUNE OF 2018. I MOVED TO VIRGINIA THAT SAME YEAR TO HAVE MY BABY AND BE WITH MY HUSBAND AS HE WAS STATIONED IN NORFOLK VA AT THE TIME. I WAS UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT MY HUSBAND SET UP AN AUTOMATIC PAYMENT BECAUSE I ASKED HIM TO WHICH NOW IM REALIZING WAS NEVER SET UP. I RECEIVED A RECEIPT VIA EMAIL FOR MY 2018 PAYMENT SO I ASSUMED EVERYTHING WAS GOOD TO GO ESPECIALLY SINCE THE FOLLOWING YEARS I DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY BILLS, NOTICES ,CALLS OR EMAILS THAT I WAS PAST DUE. MY INFORMATION IN THE MANAGEMENT'S PORTAL HAS NOT CHANGED THEY HAD MY PHONE AND EMAIL ALONG WITH MY PREFERRED CONTACT. NOT ONCE DID THEY REACH OUT IN THOSE 4YRS. UNTIL NOW, A LIEN WAS PLACED ON MY HOME ALONG WITH AN ASTRONOMICAL AMOUNTS OF FEES THAT WAS ADDED AS WELL AS THEY COINCIDENTALLY NOW HAVE MY MAILING ADDRESS . I TOLD THEM I WASN'T AWARE OF THE DELINQUENCY IT TOOK 4+YRS FOR SOMEONE TO SEND A LETTER, AND SUDDENLY MY HOME HAS A LIEN. IM WILLING TO PAY THE PAST DUE BUT NOT ALL THESE FEES AND TO PLEASE REVIEW AND SUBMIT A NEW BILL FOR ME TO PAY. I WAS ONLY MADE AWARE WHEN THEIR LAWYERS SENT A LETTER TO MY TENANT REQUESTED THEY SEND THE RENTAL PAYMENTS TO THE HOA UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THE LAWYER REFUSES TO WORK WITH ME, REQUESTED THAT I GOVERN MYSELF ACCORDING TO THE LAST NOTICE AND FOR ME TO SEEK MY OWN PERSONAL ATTORNEY IF I HAD ANY QUESTIONS. AS I READ MORE ON THE RULES AND REGULATIONS THEIR ACTIONS SEEM MORE AND MORE PREDATORY AND DISMISSIVE THE MORE QUESTIONS I ASK. AS IN THE MANAGERS HAD MY INFO WHY DID IT TAKE MORE THAN 4YRS NOT EVEN A PHONE CALL TO ALERT ME THERE WAS A PROBLEM. IM NOT GETTING ANYWHERE WITH THESE PEOPLE SO IF ANYONE CAN ASSIST ME THAT WOULD BE GREAT. THANK YOU.

This attorney looks like so clever in the way she talks. It is clear she protects the profit of HOA’s. Is she a CAI member? Hate to see attorneys like this one greedy for $$$$

I live in a very kid-friendly HOA neighborhood. I try to run for the board every year but it seems impossible. The board's majority are retired Cops. This brotherhood seems to be unbroken as for the last 20 years it been the same rotation. @0 years ago the neighborhood was middle class but now the homes sell for an average of 900K. I feel anyone can run the board during easy times but now things are falling apart etc and the board seems not to to have a clue. They say we have a Treasure but the TREASURE has never been to any of the meetings or been voted in or even introduced. I was told last year that if the Board already knows that none of them are willing to take on the Role of Treasue someone should step down. What's crazy is there are 2 accountants who are more than qualified but choose not to take the role. Both at one time truly wanted the position but backed down for whatever reason. Votes are by Proxy ballot and I feel that the votes are chances are pre-signed year after year. Any advice?

Our last board member Our last board member quit some months ego.When we asked the managment company who have HOA records, phone,computer etc they responded that they have no knowledge and they won't reach out to the previous board member and stongly advised the homeowners not to contact the last board member. Who can help us with out spending lot of money?

This attorney is insane with her comments, narcissist who thinks she is so perfect that no one can remove her because she has giving up her time. It is a volunteer positions and if the people want to remove you simply they no longer feel comfortable with you repressing them. People are adults and if the majority wants to remove you, it is not about spreading lies. It is about you no longer fit for the representation

Question - to amend our CC&Rs - to approve not less than 51% owners other than the Declarant and 67 % of the total votes of the owners. So if we have a quorom of 51% do we need just 67% of those votes to pass an amendment? Thanks William Houck Cochise HOA

I live in Florida in a HOA community and we have 253 single family homes. In a couple of weeks the builder will initiate the turnover. We were told they didn’t receive any applications for the board so the election is canceled and the RAC committee will be initiated into the board. Is it possible for any homeowner to announce the intent to run the day of the turnover meeting. Eight homeowners sent the applications however we are all told they didn’t receive any

This women knows a lot, but shame on her for even suggesting to take more drastic actions against homeowners, are you sure if the violation that the BoD is alleging isn’t something of an overreach? Is it for sure in the declaration, or made up by the BoD who may be power hungry… Attorneys should rarely have to be used in any hoa against an owner, so attorneys can make money off all the hard working homeowners is absolutely Wrong. She has gotten really negative in the rights for homeowners, again SHAME ON this brilliant attorney, I wish she were an attorney for the Homeowners..yeah then the people would be free of dictatorship..

The bill that allows HOA to seek attorney fee from homeowner is really scary for homeowners,right? HOA is using homeowner’s money to pay attorneys, and then they can further charge homeowner attorney fee if HOA prevails. On the other hand, a delinquent homeowner is likely to be poor and cannot hire an attorney.

Beth is such an asset to both The Association and condo owners. Everyone should be thanking her. Here is Alabama I have an HOA President who has lost his mind. He has been retaliating against certain homeowners who ask questions about our financials. He sues them without notice first Always with Forclosure dates pending. It's horrible
