Greetings from Canada. I must admit, I have not kept up to date with your travels for a few months. Life, the world, my work and now winter in Alberta have occupied my head. I really enjoyed this presentation. The lonely roads and villages, the music, and your filmwork were very enjoyable. You made the location interesting and a little bit mysterious...in a good way. Well done.

I share your grief re: Falastin. I hope the people of the world can find a way to put an end, once and for all, to all the suffering and colonial and imperialistic oppression. The landscape of this region you are in reminds me of Southwestern United States. Dry, mountainous, dusty, barren, with the dilapidated ruins dotting the landscape. Cracked pavement and dirt roads. Definitely not the kind of environment to lift the spirits. However, I commend you for doubling down on the sorrow you were feeling by immersing yourself in this historical and present reminder of everyday struggles within your own borders. It is important. And sometimes you need a pallet cleanser before you can begin to taste the colorful possibilities of the future. Capitalism is dying and a new world will be born from its ashes. Those ruins represent some of those ashes. Whoever painted those murals understands all this. They were painted for you.

Two thumbs up! I LOVE the almond granitas in Sicily, especially in the heat. Speaking of heat, I saw someone with a 'Velo-Orange Mojave Water Bottle Cage', and it looks like a perfect accessory if you have the mounts on your frame. That way you can put a 1.5L bottle of water from the store in it, and not have the extra weight and heat on your back (and butt). It doesn't have the drinking straw, but I think there is a straw that fits on the bottles from the store.
