there are 4 things that are most important on sweing machine review and nobody covers. 1- how high the foot goes 2-how thick a material/ how many layers can it sew 3- can it sew lether and how many sheets 4-does it have manual speed control to slow it down. the rest is unimportant.

I bought the q sewing machine it is a piece of junk. It skips stitches doesn't continue the same stitch. Cannot sew more than 2 layer of material

What is the q sewing machine? I've never had any issues with my Brother or Janome machines but change your needle and make sure your machine is threaded correctly. Skipped stitches are usually the result of a blunt needle and that happens with all machines. Unless you pick up a good older machine, you get what you pay for, if you want a more powerful machine you need to go for a more expensive model. I have an Innovis 350 and it sews through thick and layered fabrics easily and the stitches are perfect. I also have a thirty year old basic computerised Janome that would put the modern heavy duty models to shame.

If I was just starting out sewing, I would search for an old metal sewing machine. I have several and they sew beautifully and you can clean and oil them yourself. They will last forever. Mom's old Kenmore even has several decorative stitches!

Bleh. Wobble is good. Wobble builds overall character and teaches patience. I am looking for a new ironing board. My Walmart one was great when I was in JROTC and prepping my suit for weddings, funerals, and formal events. Now, ions later, the cycle has started over with my daughter being in JROTC. I was moving her shirt on my board and my iron fell off. So I am looking for something with a holder on the side. Seems the old ways of no iron holder is archaic ha ha ha.
