Glad to see your interest to build the best you can. Good video. The miner Mose should be at the top with a great over it. It if not feed to fast will grab a lot of the martial slow it down and let the gold drop out into the Mose. P.S Put thin carpet under the Mose so the gold won't wash down. I have run my dredge configured many ways. I have gold hog matts / Carpet and riffles and more. Avenge. Gold hog matts clean faster and less cons. Carpet and riffles. Little more gold BUT a lot to cons to clean out in the end. Most of the gold will be in the top 1/3 to 1/2 of almost any descent 48 '' long sluice. I have done test with 8' sluice and fine specks after half of the first sluice. Don't over think it. You can build one out of wood with just 1x2 boards as riffles and catch gold. Build what works for you and makes you fill best. Good luck.

That's all an good,spend alot of time on trinity and klamath rivers,best I've found is metal detector an pan the signals.real productive,out of eureka, heavy pans(lifetime GPAA member also)

That is just way too much work and project building when you can use a gold claw gold pan not have to classify anything and you can completely remove the black sand from your away from the gold

I don't often have time to make it out to the river. I agree that it is way too much work but I have as much fun building stuff as using it. For me, it is less about catching gold as the adventure of prospecting building hair brained ideas on how to catch gold. Either way, when I do get out, I always find a beautiful day on the river.

I have to confess that I made that video back in September. My spot on the river is west of Big Bar, a bit down stream from DC. The Trinity river has been picked over for a century and a half so we are left with scraps. I try not to compare what's in my pan to other KZbin prospectors and just enjoy a beautiful day on the river.
