Hi I was directed here by Ben Salter and have downloaded and driven all the routes he made available. It was in answer to my question had he ever done any tutorials on his approach to route building that he suggested to check you out. I would be interested if you have any other instructional videos. Best Regards Barrie

Lovely detail in your routes/dioramas. What signals would you recommend using for 1960's BR(W) the EK's? The Kuju ones look a bit old and depressed lol.

I'd love to know your graphic set up, TS graphic settings, and maybe you're using RWenhancer too and the settings on that. I've not seen TS look so good anywhere else.

Hi, I use custom settings on RWE and I believe some photoshop on this video to enhance it further.

You have captured the surrounds of Paddington with the building backing on to the railway creating an avenue for the trains to travel through. If you compare you diorama with EPW058334 ENGLAND (1938) from Above Britain website you can compare the actual buildings of the day and your attempt. I hope you publish this scenery as steam era renditions are sadly lacking from train sims. I hope you do not have problems with loading errors due to the limitations of TS. I look forward to next video. I would use Above Britain as a reference source. For example Action Yard has some interesting buildings surrounding it.

Well, I've seen the preview of your model railway route on the Dark channel, and it does look terrific. While we're waiting, could you describe how you achieved the illusion of a raised tabletop in TS2021? I see the Holiday Express assets used for the layout sides, but I can't make the terrain from tabletop to the floor disappear. In Trainz, you can actually delete terrain tiles. Hoe did you do it? Many thanks.
@TheTrainSimGuyI3 жыл бұрын
So the layout is raised off the ground at around 110 meters. Using the terrain height set tool with a square brush I lowered the ground around the layout creating flat sides. It is important that the route is square with the guidelines so the sides can actually be flat. Then I simply added tunnel hole decals to each side thus removing them and showing the structures I made to support the layout. Hope this helps and thank you for your kind words.

Many thanks, TrainSimGuy!! That helped immeasurably. I think I can take it from here. The model railway format has great potential, I'd say. Oh yes, anxiously anticipating your route, as well. Best.

Thoroughlly enjoyed an excellent run. Great part of the world. Merchant Navy class so beautiful. Would have liked to see place names at the stations. Never had the opportunity to travel the line, in my youth. Sad that it’s gone completely. Thanks.
