Super concise and to-the-point video. No nonsense. Just focused on the knots with clear explanation. Been a while since I did this and needed to be reminded and I couldn't believe how bad so many videos out there were. Thank you for keeping it clear and simple.

Great video. I tore down my 30-30 because it was feeling clunky and dry. I expected more from Henry, as my gun is only a year old with 200 rounds through it. Your video helped me put it all back together. Its clean and certain parts have barely a film of oil now. Tomorrow I'll try it out in the quarry.

Defuser's are very inexpensive to replace, as compared to the time spent on trying to repair one.

Thank you for the close up image of the disassembled gun. I had to change a clogged liner and did not pay much attention to the switch assembly in the gun, i.e. I should have taken a picture before I removed the switch assembly. I reassembled the switch and apparently it is in the contactor closed position so the feeder motor is running continuously. I will open the gun and make the necessary adjustments or hack a micro-switch in there. J.D. Murray Quelab, Albuquerque, NM USA

You can keep the cleaning rod on without the bayonet, but you'll have to use "tactical" tape to hold it on. When I purchased mine it was without the bayonet and already had the tape on it, but if you're running it with tape, make sure to check and push the cleaning rod back in because it can, and in most cases will slide out little by little with every shot. Last thing you and I want is to send a part flying downrange at Mach Jesus.

I wish I had bought another of these, I've had a Tailgator for 8 years now it's great for taking places when I don't need a big generator. I was sad when I learned they no longer sell these due to california. Only option now is to get a different brand one online for double the price.

One let down I see with this other then the cables being to short is the fact that for as big as this unit is it should be made to power more then a v8 for being a 2800 amp should have had the 12 volt cigarette port on it but otherwise it's still not to bad.

Why so much priming? Manual usually calls for 2-3 pumps. Mine with the bigger 292cc engine starts on first pull with just 3 pumps. Some tire chains might help with traction.

I never seen anybody do things the hard way you could’ve stuck that thing on the Service position and take the dog on carburetor parts off besides you’re only asking for more trouble when you take shortcuts

I also have a SnoTek (28") and love it. Just like you showed, mine always start on the first pull each year after it has not been run for a year. I do actually have a end of season shut down procedure. 1) Add gas stabilizer to gas and let it run long enough to the the stabilized fuel through the carb. 2) With the snowblower running I shut off the gas valve and let the blower keep running until it dies. 3) I drain the carburetor by taking out the drain screw on the carb bowl.

Do the springs do anything, or do the spindles just twist from the tortional load and lock on the pivot bolt? Why didn't you use any bearings? Wouldn't the welds be a weak spot?

We have used the kzbin.infoUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!
