As far as i know you can purchase a DIY mesh lid kit from red sea, or an acrylic lid from krakenreef.com already made to fit with a feeder door

Great and super thorough video! I'm looking at replacing my RODI unit and like the features of this one, but notice Amazon doesn't carry it anymore and almost no online retailers are carrying it at this point. Are you still happy with the purchase and would you do so again? Thanks again. 😁

Thank you for watching and commenting! Yes after 2 years Its still working amazing and honestly I haven't had ANY issues at all with this system. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the timer which stops the system from making water at desired set time. If your really interested you can probably give Coralvue customer service a call and I'm pretty sure they'll be able to help you out to find one. I'm not sure if they stopped making them or not.

Quick Question: Can you turn the Head Upside Down? I mean, we can always turned the Unit Upside Down if we want the head to work upside down. But I have a Slight OCD... it would just bug me to see the whole unit being place upside down. But if we could unscrew the doser head and manually flip it?

Man this is the worst instruction video I’ve ever seen. What is a collet? You literally show one pic and say it’s super easy. There should be a video demonstrating everything you’re doing. When you said you flushed the filters- with what? the video just shows you installing a dry filter into stage one. Laughably bad

my eshopps skimmer on my cube 20 gallon doesnt spill over the cup ever. do i just not have anything to skim, or enough to skim? tank is about 5 months old, 20 gallon 4 fish hand full of corals, not many,
@Reefloco3 жыл бұрын
So I always kept my water level, or the bubbles right near the neck of the body of the skimmer (right where the cup comes off) and I always used to get stuff out all the time. Move the skimmer up or down with the magnet until you see the bubbles around the neck of the skimmer (right where you take the cup off) HOPE THAT HELPS

hey question how many gallons of water can this thing filter before changing media and how much does it cost to replace everything you need once you reach that point ??
@Reefloco3 жыл бұрын
I've had the unit set up for almost a year already. If I were to estimate I've made about 400 to 500 gallons and this is just an estimate in the 11 months I've had it installed. About 15 gallons a week. I'm getting to the point we're I have to change my first di resin cartridge. Now every unit will produce differently depending on your source water. Nonetheless I've made the investment back long time ago. Hope this helps 🤙🌊🌊🌊

what’s the ratio for the vinegar rinse?

You can do 50/50 water to vinegar but I like using vinegar only as it tends to loosen gunk up much quicker.

Reefloco can i ask u this. it was running perfectly last night, now it’s back to not pulling any bubbles. the bubbles are stopping almost 3” from the top and nothing is going up the tube any more like it was yesterday. it was working fine this morning, but now nothing.
@Reefloco4 жыл бұрын
One of two things you can do. You can bring the whole skimmer down so that the water level is closer to the neck of the body about an inch away. Or it can be that there is just nothing to skim. But having the waterline closer to where the cup attaches will help.
@kapper19654 жыл бұрын
@@Reefloco should i not assume that because my nitrates are high, that that doesn't always mean protein is present? i think it typically means high protein creates nitrates, not the other way around? i pushed it pretty far down and it's bubbling again. my jbj skimmer was amost dark brown the junk it was pulling out today, but the eshopps is still a little on the light side. thanks for your help with this situation. i just don't want to buy a new one if i don't need to.

YW keep the waterline right below the cup and you should be fine. Also I had it set to max at the pump. Hope that helps

Nice build! We've basically pioneered these aluminum aquarium stands, so holler if you have any questions! We'd suggest a thicker material than the 1" x 1" for high load items like fish tanks. Also, it's better to have your upper horizontals "in-column" with the legs, that way there's no chance of them slipping. Nothing like the pride that comes along with a sweet build!
@Reefloco4 жыл бұрын
