I have a basic question that's not in the manual or any videos I've seen, including yours on KZbin. If you run De-click on your track, how do you get the track to run with removed clicks when you render that track? I've run De-click on a track and it tells me 156 clicks were removed. Then I render that track, load it back in my DAW, put on another instance of De-click with the same settings and it finds 129 clicks. So what am I doing wrong? I'm using the plug-in version like the one in your video, not the advanced standalone, so there is no "render" button on the plugin itself. I render the track using my daw with the DeClick plugin on it. Thanks, John Update: I wrote to Izotope and they responded with this explanation: "Thanks for reaching out here. There's no way to ever remove all clicks and artifacts from certain pieces of audio. In fact if you over process, you may be adding in new artifacts. De-Click is there to help you remove the main glaring ones that make a piece of audio sound bad. You can run De-click until you're blue in the face and it will always find more things. The key to successful De-clicking is knowing what to set your settings to. This often does take some trial and error and isn't always going to a stop solution. I find, that in most edits I do, a high tilted pass and a low tilted pass will remove most of the offending clicks. Sometimes two lighter passes is better than one over powered pass when it comes to many of RX's tools. If you still feel stuck after some trial and error, feel free to send us a copy of the file, we'll take a listen and make some suggestions." They sent examples of "high tilted pass" and "low tilted pass" High tilted pass: Algorithm = Multi-band (periodic clicks), Sensitivity = 4.0, Frequency skew = +4.2, Click widening = 0.0. Low tilted pass: Algorithm = Multi-band (periodic clicks), Sensitivity = 3.0, Frequency skew = -4.2, Click widening = 1.0.

same - why can't we find an answer to this question!? I feel like the elements version is useless if you can't render them out
@johngraham98782 ай бұрын
@@danielgowens7860 Please see the update I posted to my original note. Also, you can always render the track with the plugin on it to get an updated take. I usually do that because there is so much latency added by these plugins, and then delete the track with the plugin on it so everything runs cleaner.

Hi, sorry but this is a tutorial for creating a kontakt instrument, not a library. Libraries are collection of instruments at the left column, hidden here. I would appreciate if anyone has a tip for doing a custom library... Nice presentation btw, keep going, just keep an eye on function names thx👌

I thought additive synthesis was the process of only layering Sine waves at different partials (harmonic tones) to create a characteristic of another wave?

Great video! I just started making Kontakt custom sample instruments after years of using Logic sampler/EXS24. I figure Kontakt is more popular and easier to share. Have you created any videos on the advanced features - or - the best methods to package up and distribute a custom library?

So if I'm composing with the intention to sing over, the foreground would be the base of the vocal melody?
@hawksmusic9815 Жыл бұрын
it could be yes. It depends a bit on the song as well as the vocals you put on top.

@hawksmusic98152 жыл бұрын
It is the same with the free version, but I would highly recommend getting the full version if you want access to a lot of different sample libraries. Not all of the good ones go through NI and the full version is worth it in my opinion.

Nice set of videos. I was wondering if you've tried the RX noise reduction from RX elements (voice denoiser) on music tracks and had good results, or if you really have to get the standard RX for good noise reduction? (My use case is to possibly clean up recorded samples prior to making sampled instrument)
@hawksmusic98153 жыл бұрын
Thats a good question. Personally I only ever used the elements denoiser until a couple months ago when I finally upgraded to the advanced package. It works, but I will definitly say that the standard denoise works better for music than the dialouge focused one.
@michaelmilburn30943 жыл бұрын
@@hawksmusic9815 Thanks for the reply. The Izotope verbiage seemed to insinuate the denoiser in elements might work on midrangy instruments - but like you mentioned - said it wasn't designed for it and may or may not. Left the impression that for alot of music with different frequency spectrum that the elements denoiser might not be right tool. I'm just a hobbyist so going use some other tools until I can justify the spend for standard RX.

Nice video! Is it possible to have more than one of these going at the same time? I am talking about being able to essentially stack several multisamples. As an example, say you have a piano sound and a harpsichord sound and you want to blend the 2. I realize that one way would be to create 2 separate libraries (piano.nki and harps.nki), load them and set them to respond to the same midi channel, and then adjust the volumes of each to blend them. But I’m wondering if it’s possible to have just one library (pianoHarps.nki) that has 2 independent multisamples, so I can just load one library. Of course, I’d still like to have individual volume control for each part.
@hawksmusic98153 жыл бұрын
You can stack samples, but its not as intuitive as simply loading in to samples to the same region. Making them blend well together is also more of an advanced technique :)
