It'll do - it depends a lot more on matchup, but IF you can get enough damage through stealing cards that are higher level than yours is a great leg up. I would consider swapping Epic and Legendary cards out for common or rare ones. Epic and Legendary cards are a lot weaker stats-for-points at low level

Happy New Year. Wishing good health & happiness for the new year. Big question..... Is the pc game different from cellular mobile game ? Can pc gamers get more cosmetic options? Second question can pc gamers see decks of other gamers to get an edge on how to set up a deck to rank higher? I have noticed over the past several months that MANY gamers have better avatar , card sleeve , title or warlord frames than what I have on my iPhone . I also get the weird feeling that they have an edge that maybe they can see the leaderboards and see other gamer decks, is that true? Third , can I merge my account onto a Mac account and get those benefits or do I need a pc , if those benefits are available . Thank you for ur time . Cya in the Battlefield .😎

As far as I can tell/know, the Steam and Mobile versions are identical - shared collection, shared progression. There's no extra visibility or anything unless you're Streaming and they happen to be watching ;) As for cosmetics, and card levels, a good number of players (especially anyone in PVP) has played for years, so they had more time to pick those up!

Happy new year, great vid, love the longer ones. I think the matchmaking in apocalypse is doing something wrong behind the scenes. I've seen a lot of decks that are only 200pts in the apocalypse mode but with cards at trait rank 2 or so where the players should really have some more expensive cards to fill out the deck points. Greyfax decks seem to be really badly affected by whatever's going on as the matchmaking just picks decks with a hideously low percentage buff, wonder if whatever used to happen with matchmaking with Greyfax where newer players used to get matched up against insane Greyfax decks (possibly due to low card counts) is happening again

I think - absolute shot in the dark here - that the matchmaking in Apocalypse is intentionally mild. It's supposed to be a more approachable mode than Ranked. Especially when we're talking Supreme Commanders or Lords of War, players usually either have a handful at level 1-3, or a bunch at level 10+. It would be really easy to have a pretty miserable experience for the bulk of players who are scrounging to hit 400pts. Actual matchmaking is particularly hard in Apoc because of the weekly reset too...

@@casualdadgames I think that's a fair point, the weekly resets must make it quite difficult to balance it properly. I've had some great matches but it usually takes getting up to 400 at least with a faction before it gets reliably fun!

It's one single coin, just so you can play as many PVP matches as you want, the rewards track doesn't have an end

AMG/FFG? There's a good chance they'll never restock :/ Independent stores like Gamers Guild are still getting some product, but unless the game is rebooted that's going to stop eventually too - especially for the hard to get stuff

I have almost no idea about anything 40k lore, but I play the Tacticus mobile game and since one of the end content new bosses (Guild Raid) was leaked and mentioned as a "supreme commander", I needed to explore the topic more. The biggest thing with CIS was reducing the power level of the game Previously in AMG points, droids were not worth 2, they should have been cheaper to be in line with the rest of the game. With our set of XWA points, we have reduced the power level and allowed the 2 and 3 cost droid ships to slot back into their spaces that they normally exist in. The AMOUNT of bounce back from that was underestimated when it came to the bombardment drones as it's a bit more ephemeral in their objective control.

Makes sense! Bombardment Drones are uniquely challenging to balance with that Punch Gun potential, but yeah it seems like overall your tweaks to CIS have been excellent. Love the notes, thank you for all the work!

"Scum reinforcements" probably refers to XWA SLs. I can see some Fnags getting SLs. I've already seen a few complaints about Fenn online. I don't expect it will stay at 5 points for long.

I've heard a lot about how oppressive Scum Fenn can be. He's in a near impossible place to balance without being too cheap or too fragile. I don't run him at 6, but will have to see at 5. Especially with Boba at 8, Boba/Fenn is a real threat to the meta now

I'm glad to hear there's a change like this coming. I haven't substantially changed my ladder lists in over a year. I wouldn't say they're stale, but I like the consistency. I only really change a card out when a better or comparable card reaches the same level as a card it would replace. The last big change I made when when the Aeldari Crimson Hunter came out and I got it to level 3. It replaced my Wraithfighter and I was able to move some point around.

Oh wow that was a while ago XD I'm definitely looking forward to trying out some new decks, although I change mine all the time. One big perk I didn't mention already is that this will be an unlimited 400 deck point mode, so there will be a lot of Warlords/Decks I've literally never tried because they were outside of Campaign restrictions or not up to PVP competitiveness. I'll probably have a lot of fun here :D

FYI: the gap between visits are not time dependent, you simply have to walk away far enough from him (one full screen of distance) to trigger the next dialogue

Wow I have finally got into rank 5k @ 5079 , Ty 4 this info . I have built out my existing decks with this army/chapter/cult (I refuse to call it factions when there are really only 3 mega factions IoM/Chaos/Xenos,lol) ThNk u so much 4 doing this it has helped up my fun and not stress $ due to the nu webstore pricing . It is so weird...old school videogamer that I am since centipede hit arcades in early 81 , I level up thru my experience and skill not the way Tacticus/Combatcards/Warpforge is pushing into. Hi I am nu 2 the game about 6 months in . I really appreciate ur knowledge and honest opinion about games like these. Theses games are extremely fun but suffer from the "lasvegasslotmachinepull". It is a gamble. Unless I am guaranteed the card I will not use the gold or the plasma. I have a question about the skull pack slots .....when they are loaded up at 4 (there is only 4 slots )and u continue to win but the slots are full ; cawz u don't wanna spend the plasma , do u still get the winning skull pack in the background? Or does this force u 2 open the pack? Thank u so much 4 the sane advice on gambling plasma on "%maybe/maybenot" 🍀Sláinte

its def a fun mode and should be added to non comp play modes full time for sure. But it couldnt be added as a comp playlist because of the randomness, losing games/rank do to bad luck would be bad. But it could be added in to a better pve/p mode they could keep around in the future as well. Alot they could do with it outside Comp.

@casualdadgames not really sure how without compromising competitive integrity. Losing a high end match and rank do to getting worse perk choices the enemy would not be good. If they gave the same perks per round that would balance things. But then there would always be the "best" options making them cookie cutter builds eventually, taking away from what makes it fun. They could do a competitive mode that's taken less serious like open queue but then ur further splitting player base. So I'm really not sure how it could fit in comp even tho it is fun

I’ve really been enjoying the traits as well. One of the things that’s pulled me out of my couple month break from OW2. This mode is so much more fun than normals imo, I love RPG’s, progressions, and minmaxing character builds. I appreciate that this mode accepts that everything will get (or has the potential to get) overpowered, so it’s relatively balanced in that sense (i.e if everyone’s op then ezpz). I really hope they either make this mode a permanent option or implement traits into the game somehow. I also think both things this gamemode has are things Blizzard has been wanting to try and implement in OW2 (not being able to swap to counter pick, and having options for upgrades for characters), so I have hope that they will find a way to implement these (I personally think they go hand in hand).
