‼️Another KZbin channel that just takes mundane things and pretends they’re utterly profound and deep. Redditors are really wasting every bit of bandwidth the world has.

The only strip i remember about 'The far side' is the 'cow tools' bit. I'm already this old but i still don't get that.

Speaking of backgrounds. Ditch that neon eye, it causes too much distraction to the viewer. You also should add light to your background, it is too dark. I think that would take your videos to another level because the information and editing is really good. ✌🏻

Looney Tunes always stood out for me, visually, because of the backgrounds. there were other cartoons with similar aesthetic but were all later, and somewhat lesser, though usually because the actual foreground elements were less engaging/interesting. Sometimes things need to evolve into greatness, Looney Tunes benefitted from talents who'd developed to peak skill finally getting a platform of their own. Those austere beauties of background were always a favourite; lingering in imagination as much as the dialogue, the slapstick, the cleverness of the characters up front. Any dreams I recalled in colour were somehow always transposed into either the southwest of roadrunner or the castles of Europe of Bugs' adventures

It is not hidden you see it the whole time you watch the damn cartoons. Do you have some inability to see backgrounds when there is a character? This video is clickbait.

This guy remembers me of QUINO, Joaquin Salvador Lavado, a great but anonymous cartoonist from an anonymous country in South America. Larson here was rescued by Toy Story. It would be awesome if the world also remembered Quino, from Argentina. He was not only the creator of Mafalda, but of many more.

Chuck Jones and Eyvind Earle were born and died around the same time - and both were massively popular in the mid 1900s, 50s and 60s for sure. I see a lot of the similarities in both artists works.

I want to Thank you for making this Video Release 2 years ago according to KZbin If I am wrong well forgive me, Hi my name is Sean I was born in 1971 and my Brother Sister and my cousin Eloise, we watched cartoons every morning before school and when we got home from elementary school and every Saturday and Sunday Morning for 5 to 6 hrs on weekends We were glued to the Tv to watch cartoons the older ones the same ones you describe at the beginning of this Video you created and absulootly we must have had more going on in the Back Ground of the Cartoons to have this incredible addiction to watching the cartoons. Then all of a sudden they stopped that is no joke they all sudden stopped showing the cartoons we use to watch they were are life as kids and it was a stunning shock when they stopped making cartoons they went from the Art Creations drawn by hand to totaly diffrent type cartoons we all lost a part of us when they stopped making the Boom 💥 bang shoot blow up cartoons o and i wont lie it was like i said a part of us died inside. The kids today have no clue what they missed out on you can scream violence but thats not how we took the cartoons as violent to us they were entertaining. So thank you for this video I sure do miss being a elementary school kid still able to watch the best of the best cartoons on TV . AGAIN THANK YOU FOR BRINGING OUT MY YOUTH AGAIN !!! SEAN

Could have mentioned that he is a great draughtsman. The jokes are good but they would not work half as well if the subjects were not as well composed and drawn as they are.

Yeah, like Simpsons, Southpark and Beavus and Butthead. Definitely not the humor, irreverence, satire, and intelligent single-frame drama that drove the popularity. I hope, like the comics, you were joking.

Wow this is so cringy. Watching someone explain jokes in this level of detail, is just horrible. It's like having sex with someone who narrates every single thing you are both doing, as if they're explaining it to a blind person who's writing a manual on human procreation, for aliens. LOL Please don't do this again

It's an homage to the creator, not primarily out to 'explain the jokes'. Take it easy Woody.

Thank You! I have the entire set, and no matter how hard I try, I can't get the kids and grand kids to watch them. I try and tell them, it's art, I want them to hear classical music set to images. All I get is "BORING". Maybe one day?

I live not far from where he grew up. One day I went inside to pay for my gas, and there behind the counter was a lady who looked like a fish from one of his cartoons. Without saying so, I steered it around only to find she had gone to school with him. "He was very personable" she said. Of course he was. He worked out the details later.

There is one in which you see a pith helmet lying on some dodgy looking piece of ground in a jungle and above, a parrot in the vines goes "Let go of me Larry, you're pulling me in!. Let go of me Larry, you're pulling me in!. "

Thank you for celebrating Warners cartoons. They were real-life characters, more than Disney or Nelvana. I heard several years back that Wile E. Coyote was drawn by a woman who survived Auschwitz AND Dr Mengele.

The kid pushing on the door labeled pull is my all time favorite! Can’t even get in the front door of the school for the gifted! 😂😂😂😂 My second favorite is the cat inside the house with paws and face pressed against the window with a look of desperation on its face as it watches a truck turn over, birds falling out of cages, and on the side of the truck it said “ flightless birds”! 😂😂😂😂

This is why these cartoons are timeless, its so much more than the violence of the animation. people who grew up on these shows understand that, atleast most people. i think its why modern day cartoons are not worth rewatching most times but these old shows are true art works
