I'm sure I saw him do a similar thing with Leo Fender sitting in the chair...it was just as cringey awful....unbelievable.

Sounds so bad! What a way to ruin the tone of the best amps ever made. I’m surprised Alexander let him play his amps.

He explains it perfectly. One way has a ‘more free passage’ than the other. No way to get there any other way, despite what today’s manufacturers tell you.

I'm normally extremely forgiving when it comes to people who have the guts to put themselves on stage and out there and in front of the camera etc. Having been on stage in a band in some pretty sizable venues, I know it can be difficult especially for a solo artist. So I give them quite a bit of latitude informing an opinion. At first I thought some of the comments were pretty rough until I let the video continue playing out. Now I think they're unbelievably funny and endlessly entertaining because.... Wow. This guy's rough. I didn't even know who he was so I googled them and this is what Wikipedia had to say Henry Kaiser is an American guitarist and composer, known as an idiosyncratic soloist, a sideman, an ethnomusicologist, and a film score composer Pretty funny. This whole video is a scream and I feel bad for Dumble. But I also respect Kaiser's balls and belief in himself. This is so bad it's funny. Also, while I am very anti individuals having billions of dollars (500 million not enough?), I also don't hold Kaiser's wealth against him. He was born super rich. So what. Not his choice. Personally, I would spend most of my time trying to help others with a vast fortune. But that's not a knock on him. More of a personal preference. But if I won the lottery, you damn right I'd have at least one dumbbell and every other amazing piece of equipment that ever existed. So good for him for that. Not good for my ears though. 😅

I just saw this for the first time lol. Dumball had to be full of Thorazine to not want to jump off that stool and bludgeon this guy with his guitar. How in the hell do you make a Dumball amp sound like a transistor radio in a bowl of jello?!

Video summarized " Electronics can survive in a free space vacuum better than a crystal lattice."
@alexcorll906 ай бұрын
The crystal lettuce is real. He's referring to a solid state silicon transistor, which has a crystal lattice structure, used in solid state amps. By contrast, a tube is a self contained free space vacuum.

Dumble knew what he was talking about. I bought an Amplified Nation Overdrive Reverb, in search of that tone, and was gobsmacked. Almost all of my pedals are now pointless, as plugging directly into the amp sounds better than any pedalboard/amp setup I've used in 40 years. Modelers don't come close, and unfortunately, neither do most of the amps I used to consider the best.

When you try to be as "out there" and innovative as Frank Zappa but you lack the skill, talent, and musical knowledge of Zappa, or even Bozo the Clown. Henry has always been proof positive that money can not substitute for a lack of skill, talent, or taste.
