Just found this song I met my wife eight years ago. Perfect marriage. Finally found the perfect place four months ago, small town, friendly folk, beautiful area. Small house but it’s just fine for us. Life’s finally right where it needs to be. Got a diagnosis just this August, I’ll be lucky if I make it to Christmas… I feel so guilty. That broken road that finally led me to her is going to take me away, I feel like I wasted her time. I took most of her twenties away from her.

Very sorry to hear that. Don't feel any guilt. You gave her the greatest gift she'll ever receive and that's your unconditional love. She will carry that with her forever, not regretting any time spent with you but all of the time that she didn't.

After 7 years of a hard marriage coming to an abrupt end I listened to this song and literally cried. The broken road is so broken and she made me a better person, I was so blessed to have her. His voice is so amazing no matter how many times I listen to this song I still can’t believe the vocals. Much love Gary LeVox

I love this song. I remember when this song came out on the radio. I cried then when I first heard it and still brings me a tear or two everytime I hear it.
