Most of the videos I see skip a lot of what they’re doing, even if it’s directed to noobies, and it’s really confusing. But this video helped me get something I’m proud of showing off hahaha TYSM!!

I completely empathize with the situation and all the stresses, worries you had. And as a 49 year old who have dreams of early retirement for art sake, I am so, so proud of you for doing it sooner, having the wisdom to know the first try at going full time is not a failure but as a successful learning process. If I may be so bold, I encourage you to pursue your goals, keep dreaming and the *next* time you try for your full-time art dream I have a feeling it will be another success and a greater, more long-lasting one.

I have more markers than I know what to do with so I'm always looking for ideas on how to use them and trying different approaches. I’ve been looking at buying these markers for a while but everyone was telling me that water based markers are a nightmare to work with but equally I find alcohol markers very pricey. I’m definitely buying them now, having watched your detailed illustrations I think they’re just what I’m looking for especially as I already work with watercolour and colouring pencils. Thanks for sharing your journey. I did something very similar and even though I feel my art skills grew exponentially by taking a year and a half to focus on it, there were lingering feelings of regret about how I could have planned better. Lesson learned and I do think that I got better at running a business by really being immersed in it.
