Reading Kenny Loggins’ latest book - how he met Billy Joel playing in a busy hotel in SF - he stopped listened and asked him “what the f are you doing out here in the lobby?!” Billy Joel released THIS song years later

SUCH AN AMAZING BAND!!!!!!!
@bradjohnson967122 күн бұрын
They played a free outdoor concert at the MN State Fair back in 2017 (2 nights). Laid waste to the joint. One of the best concerts I've ever attended. There were young folks walking by asking "Who the F are these guys?" and promptly forgot where they were going, stopped and watched the rest of the show. This outdoor venue has a large seating area with a street behind it. The entire street was filled with folks. They finished with "I just want to make love to you" followed by Slow Ride. I run into folks once in a while that were there and they still talk about it.

I came to view this once again today bcs. I saw Bonnie in concert last night (a hurricane relief show in Charlotte). Per an earlier comment, her Dad was 75 at this concert. Bonnie is now 75 & was stellar. Those are some amazing genes. A true treasure. 🧡

I saw Bonnie and her band in Oakland at the Fox Theater. Met her dad John at an event in LA years ago. How wonderful they sang together! And Bonnie will be honored at the Kennedy Center December 8th!

John Raitt was one of the great musical-theatre performers of all time. He first gained fame in the 1940s when he originated the role of Billy Bigelow in Rodgers and Hammerstein's CAROUSEL.

The tempo is a bit sluggish compared to the album but killer playing by everyone concerned. Big Foghat fan for 50 years. Glad I got to see them live a few times.

I'm so pissed off. Years ago, I went to see Badfinger at Ungano's in NYC. I got to go backstage and meet the band, which was so cool. That was the 2nd show. George Harrison was at the 1st show.
