You are correct, she is in charge, Angelina does everything, arrangements, instructs musicians. Known as The Little Boss when she was 9 years old.,

every song Angelina sings is my favourite. Angelina is the best of all time male or female, and i am in my 70's. And even more special then that is her humanity. Angelina is one very very special woman.

Yeah, I'm kind of puzzled by it now that I have the SS Pro. The coffee stir sized one doesn't make sense to me for use on its own; I can not keep embouchure at all while making tone. I suppose you could simply blow through it without producing tone to get more back pressure, as a way to ? I've read that exhaling with post-vocal occlusion can be therapeutic like singing is? So maybe if your voice is so shot that you need to be on vocal rest, you could just blow through it to get the soothing effect? I would want to see some kind of study before giving that sort of advice to a student, though. And then the other possible use for the little straw is as "fine tuning" to decrease the back pressure just a very tiny bit compared to the large straw? I suppose the combinations in order from least to most back pressure would be: All three straws, Large+medium, large+small, medium+small, medium, then small. And that's without dipping the end(s) underwater, which can give you even more gradations of back pressure. Update: I checked the singing / straw website again. They say that they intend you to use more than one straw if the resistance is too intense. So perhaps they assume you don't need a big straw at all if you can just use all three at once instead. Also: I am a baritone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but generally speaking, I'd expect that you need more breath flow than an soprano/mezzo soprano to successfully vibrate your vocal chords. So for that reason, it may be better for baritones and basses, and possibly heavier (voice) tenors to get the non-pro version or stick with a moderately sized "normal" straw. And one last thing! There is now a silicone singing / straw, the "sili" model, so if you want a different texture, that might be something for you to try?

Nice reaction. I agree with you.I could watch Angelina sing all day , just standing at a microphone. Angelina singing Unchained Melody at the last Nobel Peace Prize was epic. She also just released a cover of If I were a boy and a new release Bad Valentine..

If you would like to explore Angelina's lower register I would suggest reacting to her singing How Great Thou Art! She sings it in her greatest influence, along with Billie Holliday, Elvis's key! She focuses on the verses and only sings the chorus in closing!

Great analysis of Angelina's vocals. It's a shame the song was so cut and chopped. Even considering that you decided not to extend the length of your video too much, I think that eliminating so many parts of the song takes away the musical sense, which is also important for us to appreciate your work and Angelina's.

Once in an art class, we were encouraged to listen to a piece of music and then try to paint the images it inspired. It was a stretch for most of us to take auditory sensations and turn them into visual images, but if I tried to imagine what was happening in the piece of music, the images definitely had color and personality. I don’t automatically see colors when I hear music, but I believe it is something we might be able to train ourselves to do with practice.

I've never met anyone else who has synesthesia. For as long as I can remember, I've seen colors with both music and numbers. I just do. (I'm not a musician, just an appreciative listener.) I've been told that this ability is associated with high intelligence, though I have no idea if that's verifiable. For me, there's not a 1:1 association between a specific note and a color. Notes in the high ranges read as pale pink to me, and extremely low notes are dark brown. Colors in the middle range tend to alternate between red and blue. The color-note association is more triggered by complex instrumental music (like a piano concerto) than by pop/rock music. For numbers, the color association mostly pops up when I'm playing Sudoku.

I've heard colors in music since I was taking piano lessons at the age of about ten. My mom happened to understand it, so when I mentioned "playing the pink notes," she had some idea of what I was talking about, and was able to explain what it was. I'm in my late 40s now, and I still hear color in music. Numbers also have colors for me--I see a rainbow every time I play Sudoku.

This is so interesting! I was almost 30 when I realized that most people don't "hear" textures that they touch. That's the closest I can get to describing it... It's a sensation inside of my ears, and the more irregular a texture is the louder it feels.

I buy that. To me the Beatles are blues and greens and The Rolling Stones are browns and oranges. Also some math problems have color. 4x8=32 is blue and 7x3=21 is yellow.

If you're a good choir and good musicians, the blunt way of doing it is more efficient.
@zagrizena

Not every choir is experienced enough to be able to fix themselves just by pointing out the error. As an absolute amateur I find it much more helpful for the director to use any of of the approaches mentioned above. Just pointing out the issue often leads to frustration and mounting tension, especially if it isn't resolved quickly and easily, as an individual singer often can't be sure, what the exact issue that the director hears is. At least from my experience it often happened this way when I tried my best to take the director's notes on board but was ultimately unsure whether it was effective or not. Sometimes other singers in the same voice had difficulties, but incessant repeating of the same phrase with the same instructions really did not help.

Thank you so so much for your beautiful video! This is been me the past year. Getting back into playing percussion (starting to also learn ukulele and violin), dance, needle/yarn art. I’ve never been the best, but I love art for my emotion and spiritual health. In the past I use to care to be the best, but now I just want to play intuitively almost as a form of meditation.

Story line IMO is to show Angelina (age 17) got her drivers license. Also, it is a music video and reflects the move from the 60s to the present. Also, the song talks about Love itself, and not a individual person. Great reaction. Thank you for sharing.

She’s not been taught she self taught she taught herself how to sing her grandmother is already in Port artist and psychologist introduced her to jazz. She loves jazz, which unuseful for a child so she studied jazz and she told herself how to sing while they’re going to the Internet and listen to Frank Sinatra Billie Holiday, Houston and all the old Betsy Smith backing the deck when she said blue singer so she studied all that but now she sings everything because she developed a beautiful voice and her voice cannot be copied if unique
