I noticed that the subtitles don't translate everything that the people in the film are saying. Is there a version out there that translates everything that's being said I find it distracting that only 40% of the dialogue is translated

Most of the untranslated dialogue occurs when there are numerous people talking over each other. The rest is either intentional or an issue occuring with KZbin, and can be fixed by resetting the cc icon.

Wow. Thank you for uploading this masterpiece. I have previously watched the other version of this film on KZbin but the misaligned subtitles and lower video quality made it difficult to truly appreciate Wang Bing's work, his ability to convey the human experience through everyday life, and the struggle of these workers. I really hope this documentary stays up, a truly unique and captivating film from a fascinating era in China's history that is seemingly overlooked/forgotten in today's modern world.

I finished this last night. This exceptional documentary made go through every range of emotion while watching it. So raw and unfiltered! I was riding around kn my hometown late in the am and I started to think of the people in this documentary, I welled up! I started to look around and took in the sights I am so familiar with, so many years spent doing 'this' All this while listening to a bittersweet playlist I found on SoundCloud. I was alive again! Wang Bing has done an outstanding job with this piece of film. A must watch fot everyone!
