The family had to raise $5000 for Jeff's autopsy which we now have. I also want to say that information that I learned 25 years ago, and no one would listen to me, is now being published. That mental illnesses are actually metabolic illnesses that affect the brain. Jeffrey did not have mental illness even though he was forced to take psychiatric drugs since he was 20 years old, the last 34 years of his life. Jeffrey had three metabolic illnesses that affected his brain. They were hypoglycemia, type two diabetes, and acute intermittent porphyria. I have the records. The only thing the psychiatric medicines did, that he was forced to take for 34 years, was hurt him. They negatively affected his brain, made him act out and do things that criminalized him. He wasn't a criminal. But the drugs had horrific side effects like akathisia and hypothermia for Jeff. I will also say that I have been trying several years to get a law passed (that Senator Warren Hamilton has worked on during his term in office) that before anyone takes any psychiatric medication that they should take or at least be offered to take the GeneSight test which was developed by the Mayo Clinic and specific to psychiatric medications. Because the first time Jeffrey went to the hospital in 1990 he was a student at Oral Roberts University. He called me and told me he was having difficulty. He had been recently diagnosed with hypoglycemia and melancholia at approximately the same time by our family physician. He went across the street to the City of Faith Hospital and was put in the psychiatric unit the 28th floor. It was his birthday, January 25. I went to see him as I was getting on the elevator to leave, I saw him join a prayer group and I got a call from him the next morning with him terrified saying that they had put him on the locked unit on the 29th floor. I went to the hospital immediately and the attending psychiatrist refused to talk to me and the nurse told me the night before when Jeff was in the prayer group he started making sounds that scared them so badlythat they gave him a shot of Navane which caused him to immediately bang his head against the wall. That was in 1990. Jeff took The GeneSight test in 2018, which the result showed that Navane was the number one antipsychotic medicine oh Jeff's GeneSight red list meaning his body could not metabolize that drug and all it did was hurt him terribly, caused him to start banging his head against the wall. Psychiatrists never informed us that psychiatric medications cause addiction and dependence and to stop taking them abruptly causes a person to go into rebound withdrawal, which makes a person appear psychotic. Psychiatric medications have caused an epidemic of mental illness in the United States of America. And they stole my son's adult life from him since he was 20 years old and ended up killing him.
