Yes, but it will crack along the control joints when properly done. The slab sections (100 sq. ft.) won't develop cracks.

I put joints less than 100SQFT and still get cracks where you don’t want them it’s not a guarantee that they will crack thru the joints you put in it

Control joints should be called try to control joints they are very efficient but don’t work 100% of the time

But you can control where those stress cracks occur. Control joints aren't for decoration.
@scorpiuswireless1
@scorpiuswireless1 Жыл бұрын
You can actually if you install enough expansion joints to prevent shrinkage cracks. Don’t place crete on compacted rock without a blinding layer of sand. Don’t put in too wet. Thicken edges Saw cut within 24 hrs. Use curing techniques. Plus other things

Also permanently damages the finish. Just keep it wet or even flooded. A sealer will help retain moisture and won't alter the finish.

@@kennedyconcretedelivery that's such bullshit. You have a standard price per yard plus environmental fees, taxes, wash out fees, short load fee if it's less than 10 yards. Here in Texas the standard is about 125 a yard all in, in April there is going to be an 8 dollar per yard increase due to sand and cement shortage. That's for 3000psi and additional sack is a 7 dollar per yard increase for example $125 for 3000psi $131 for 3500 and 3600psi $138 for 4000psi $145 for 4500psi $152 for 5000psi All concrete vendors can supply a customer with a price per yard regardless of location.

If all u need is yard go to Home Depot and buy 4 sacks of concrete mix and a wheel barrel, the only hidden charge, sales tax.
@CarlosCabrera-mx2to
@CarlosCabrera-mx2to 2 жыл бұрын
@@mikeklein318 do you know hoe many cubic feet are in a yard and the coverage per sack of concrete? A sack of maximizer will cover exactly 1 cubic foot anything else a 80 pound bag covers .60 cubic feet. There are 27 cubic feet in one cubic yard you will need either 27 bags of maximizer or (45) 80lb bags of sakrete or quikrete a bag of maximer cost about 10 bucks with taxes that means just on Crete bags you will be spending about $270 then either you can break your back mixing of you can Rent a mixer about $100 for the day all in all that method you will spend twice as much if not triple the amount than getting a truck to deliver the mix or ucart a yard or 2 if you have a pick up for 200 bucks with an hour rental of the trailer and avoid breaking your back mixing 27 bags of concrete.
