SOOOOO SLOOOOOOOOWWW. USTA 3.0 level AT BEST. I can't believe anyone pays their hard-earned money to watch these bums. Any one who's watched a few youtube tennis videos while sitting on their fat asses could do 100 million times better!

A lot of people complain that the tennis channels should use court level footage, but I disagree because the ball would look way too fast and I wouldn’t be able to process what happened that point. So yeah I think they should keep it at the spot the cameras are currently that way for us viewers it’s easier to see the ball.

Nope. Baseball is only 100mph. A forehand gets up to 125 mph and serves even faster.

Try watching professional badminton up close from the side, you'll barely be able to see the shuttle.

When you see something coming in front of you, you can't see how fast is it, but if it passes next to you, you appreciate it perfectly, that's what happens with the camera in tennis

My dad has about an 70 to 80 mph serve (just a guess because ive seen the same playing baseball and it seems comparable) and i couldnt get a racket on it to save my life when i was 16. I cant fathom over 100 mph.

What baffles me the most is that even though the ball is going so fast, they look like they have so much time to wind up their shots mid rally

It's all relative. Compared to the serve speeds, you can see the rally speeds are low. Top serve speeds in tennis goes to 250 km/h. By comparison, however, top smash speeds in badminton today recorded 490+ km/h during actual tournaments. So, yeah, it's all just relative. If tennis is "fast" then think about badminton, which bans upper hand serve.
