The American church is killing it’s children, you are responsible for your LGBT kids hanging themselves in their homes and in the woods. Stop throwing your children into the streets because they come out as lgbtq just to save face with your vile religion.

I’m sick of American Christian’s and religious Puritan mindset. The German mind here is right on, it’s thoughtful and grounded in EDUCATION from its Hebrew Aramaic roots.

Moltmann needs to give credit to Ernst Bloch, where he got his ideas on hope and Hans Kung, where he took his ideas on trust.

Guess he forgot to read 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 where it clearly says that homosexuals are disqualified from salvation if they remain that way

I love it," it's hard to understand anyone on the trinity", and yet this is the end all and be all doctrine for majority of Christians, no wonder muslims think we're polytheistic.
@hanskung32783 жыл бұрын
I think getting wrapped up in questions of doctrines of the trinity, holy spirit,etc., causes us to miss the main point of the theology of hope, mainly that there is hope, which today is no small thing given that any of us are reduced to survival, cynicism and a kind of private Nihilism and hedonism.

Man, do we need a theology of hope more than ever, summed up as "seek first the kingdom of God."

“I think I am an optimist, because, otherwise, I would be a pessimist” Jürgen Moltmann. Jokes aside, I am loving the concept of the Theology of Hope, I can't help to think also on Viktor Frankl. Amazing.

So, the Bible says God created the world in six days. It amazes me how many people think it's seven days, you'd think they never even bothered to read it, yet they feel qualified to interpret it for other people

Wow what a theologian. True that fundamentalists don’t understand Bible, they quote it, and Bible does not have word for homosexuality. Many people practice sodomy, for instance in the Middle East where it is practiced as an alternative to sex with women because women are so unavailable, or practiced as rape in war. The Bible does not discuss homosexuality except in Jesus verses some are born eunuchs.
Yikes! The living in Christ are in Christ and the dead who lived in Christ are in Christ. Moltmann's reduces the revelation of Jesus to nothing really, so it doesn't surprise me that he would claim that hell would be empty. Hell will not be empty. Salvation is in Christ and through Christ alone. If you do not believe that, hell will have at least one person.
The best is still to come... HOW TRUE... THERE IS NO END BEFORE US BUT A NEW BEGINNING... What a comfort... what a comfort... Biblical hermeneutics JESUS STYLE: START ALWAYS WITH MERCEY AND GRACE... Can you IMAGINE A JESUS REFUSING TO LISTEN? 1 Cor 13:8 - Ἡ ἀγάπη οὐδέποτε ἐκπίπτει εἴτε δὲ προφητεῖαι καταργηθήσονται· εἴτε γλῶσσαι παύσονται· εἴτε γνῶσις καταργηθήσεται - The love dows never fail; and whether prophecies, they shall become useless; whether tongues, they shall cease; whether knowledge, it shall become useless... ÁLL THEOLOGY AND PHILOSOPHICAL SPECULATION WILL BECOME USELESS, BUT LOVE WILL NEVER BECOME USELESS, LOVE WILL NEVER FAIL... Can you IMAGINE A JESUS NOT TALKING WITH A GAY SUFFERING FROM INCOMPREHENSION IN HIS OWN CONGREGATION? FROM JUDGING AND HIDDEN FINGER POINTING? FROM AVOIDING CONTACT? FROM CALLING OUT AS SINNER? Can you IMAGINE HOW GREAT THE PRESSURE ON THE GAY INDIVIDUAL MUST BE IN CASE OF LACKING UNDERSTANDING??? OUR JOB IS THE JOB OF RECONCILIATION: Ὑπὲρ χριστοῦ οὖν πρεσβεύομεν, ὡς τοῦ θεοῦ παρακαλοῦντος δι’ ἡμῶν· δεόμεθα ὑπὲρ χριστοῦ, καταλλάγητε τῷ θεῷ - Now then we are EMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God... THAT IS OUR MANDATE IN CHRIST, and GOD gives a flying f..ck on what a CONGREGATION THINKS WHEN IT COMES TO HUMANS IN PAIN... Peace and love to all... Amen

The fundamentalist belief of dispensations can be refuted Biblically. Pivotal is the belief by the dispensationalists that Christ's prophesies of Matt. 24 would happen to generations of the future though He clearly said these events would happen to "this generation", that is the generation to which He was speaking. But if one believes that Gen. 1, Revelation (the Apocalypse) and all the Gospels and the prophets are to be interpreted literally, as the fundamentalists do, it is difficult to find the true meaning of ancient metaphor and allegory. Moltmann expresses a more hopeful and I believe the correct Biblical eschatology. But we live in the modern age of nihilism, death of God, so not many are very interested in these difference in Christian beliefs (thank you Frankfurt School - Institut für Sozialforschung).
