Great video! Thanks for sharing :) I'm going to Tintagel in a few weeks. Any suggestions on where I can rent a decent sea kayak around there? Cheers

FANTASTIC clip! Great footage. Love the music. Good job. It's January 2020 and this clip is very motivational for me: six months ago I paddled a section of the Upper Guil on my very first Alps trip. My friend and I ended up going back a few days later and did the Via Ferrata above the gorge. As we did that we looked down and imagined the day we'll be good enough to run the gorge.... like you.

wow, that's. WILD! I would like to see a few recoveries to see how those guys get back in their kayaks while battling those waves.

ideally the person being rescued holds onto his boat and his paddle. boat stays upsdide down. go to the front of the boat, making a T with your own boat, and lift his bow. it will break the seal and the water will fall out. you flip the kayak upright, go bow to stern, and he flops chest first onto the rear hatch. stomach stays on the rear deck, feet into the cockpit, then you spin with your butt facing the guide until your butt is in the seat. skirt goes back on and off you go.

If you're kayaking in the ocean, and like to live, it would behoove you to know the techniques. LOL.

+Xavier Cairns-Betts you can see that they do once they the rescuee is back in the boat. Person video taping said "let him get squared away" making sure the rescuer doesn't leave to soon. Probably bailed during a failed roll after going belly up. Great opportunity to hone those skills. Good team work.

There's no shame in going for a swim. Everyone does it from time to time. The only people that don't occasionally swim have given up challenging themselves. Looked fun and hairy.😱😁
