Both of the cards we chose had the same provisions. I was also a bit surprised to see opp playing Thing from the Box. But this is the only reasonable explanation. See Mysterious Puzzle Box's description: "... At the end of your turn, transform the highest-provision chosen card(s) in hand into Thing From the Box..." Emphasis on card(s)

Thanks! I can't take credit for the strategy though. Rat clog is an old idea. And it used to exist even before Weavess: Incantation was reworked. I first saw it being played by Trynet. I only adjusted the idea for the latest patch of the game based on sbsleonidas' Weavess/Manticore deck :)

That's exactly why running this meme is so painful. Indirect tall punish is somewhat cheap and can break the deck's wincon.

I'm not too sure about that though. For me KH is the most wholesome card, oddly enough. It's the only card that answers anything. It's the: "I know my deck can't deal with this piece of your combo, so no, thank you". And there's only 1 KH per player (usually). If KH was more/too expensive, I fear greedy decks and/or Yennvo NG poison decks would flood the game. I like memes, but if memes turn into competitive decks, I don't think none of us would have a good time playing Gwent. It's good that I lost this match

I know my content differs a lot from other creators in that I only post one match at a time. I've opted for this as I believe KZbin values consistency more than content length. And it's the rhythm I can maintain. Once I'm able to own a home and I (hopefully) make it to KZbin's partner program, I'll gladly make longer videos. Reavers are very scary when not controlled, more so in long rounds. Both round this game were long. Frost doesn't have particularly good control besides movement. This deck only had leader movement, Aristocrat movement (conditional on dominance) and Hen Gaidth sword. And of all the control options, movement isn't best for this because it gives more room for the melee row to be filled with more reavers. Also what's surprising is that for some reason I encounter reavers more when I play frost. I wonder if and how much the game skews matchmaking due to the deck being used.

I agree with the first part. Plus, defender has synergy with leader's passive ability. Perhaps this wasn't added because of how competitive matches are different from the ladder. However, opponent would have had a very hard time setting up engines regardless of my defender. Brawlers and shady vendors would have prevented that from getting out of hand. Both decks had engines and control. Whoever puts down engines first is likely to lose them. But if the control doesn't trade well, it's still better to play the engines first because engines lose value as the round progresses anyway.

It's quite odd. I thought it would be near impossible to win this matchup. Though, to be fair, opponent wasn't playing the nastiest most optimized version of reavers.

Is the Syanna for spawning more Magnes? Or maybe to double the points of Ivo? I initially wanted to make a deck with more than 25 cards yet all being tactics and still played thanks to Magnes. But it wasn't really good or consistent.

@@M3t4M4ng0 this deck also suffers against quick heavy control like SK Pirate. I prefer Syanna for Skellen or Ivo. As for more than 25 cards, I think Vigo should be enlisted for all point spawned Magnes give. Yet so far, I only piloted reversed Kolgrim.

I couldn't agree more! And this pile I built is a dumpster fire... fun, but a dumpster fire nonetheless 😅😂 It's crazy to realize that... In this match... Dragon's Dream (DD) pretty much popped off as much as it could have (25 points for 10 provisions)... And I still lost the match by a considerable margin. I won't claim I played perfectly. But perhaps DD deserves a provision decrease...? Wdyt? I only wish more underrated decks could become viable. For me this is the essence of Gwent: making (and playing) underdog decks that have a chance to win.

I can't infer your overall sentiment towards the video from your comment. Did you like it? Did you dislike it? If so, why? Was it the fact that I lost the match? I had been thinking about whether it would be such a bad idea to post some lost matches. From the video analytics, I can see that people are disliking the video. I ultimately decided to post this match because I really liked the idea behind the deck. I thought it would still be worth it to share it if anyone else wanted to give it a try. You mean Yennefer: Illusionist, right? That seems like a nice addition to the deck. My concern, though is that would take the spot of a card like Siege. Yen would definitely make R3 stronger, but lacking Scenario would make it harder to win the other round. I'll definitely consider this when I eventually revisit this deck.

Oh! Sabrina, yes. I mean... she does make for a bigger finisher for sure. I would have still lost this match even if I'd play her. She would have given me 12 more points if I did my math right. I sure will try, but it'll be some time in the future. Like I've said in other comments, one match per day is what I can do for now and still be consistent. No, this is not a joke. There are many ways to go about making content. I could upload less often but showcase more matches. I upload one match per day because it's a rhythm that I can keep up while not sacrificing other aspects of my personal life. And I understand KZbin's algorithm likes me more if I upload more often.
