It's an aerodynamic device meant to slow the cars down. The Frank Kimmel Street Stock Series took short track 'street stocks' and put them on big tracks. Most of the cars were not originally built to take big hits on big tracks. So every little bit they could take out of the top speed was a positive from a safety perspective.

When I recorded this race it was mostly just to make a highlight video. So the camera work is less consistent and the final video a bit less coherent than the work I typically did, but it is the whole race in higher quality than previously seen on youtube.

You have to love the sprinklers to make the track more slippery. Regardless of who wins, the #95 Turquoise Cadillac boulevard cruiser, with the driver's left arm propped up on the windowsill, showed class, smoothness and grace throughout the entire race: the driver probably had a coffee in the cupholder, and a nice blunt in the ashtray.

The gold camaro driver causing that pointless wreck because he wasn’t paying attention deserved to have his car fucked for that 😭 the other car driver wasn’t at fault imo bc you can see the wheels are affecting drivability. Gold Camaro driver could have saved his car if he wasn’t being a dumbass 7:38
