Bottom line: amazing features and diversity of everything, but major drawbacks are [1] NO SOLARIUM; [2] FAR TOO EXPENSIVE!

There is absolutely ZERO food that is free. It might be included in the price, but it is not free. Those that call it free is who they are targeting and you fell for it.

In regard to the “did you watch any of the promotions?” - yes, yes I did. Cloud 17 was an entire adults only deck that satisfied many in exchange for the lack of solarium. Then, the DAY the ship sailed, suddenly Cloud 17 was family friendly and the adults only area was the Hideaway.. not remotely the same, and well after bookings opened. I’m sick of being told I knew what I was getting when it was changed after the fact.

my family is headed on icon Thanksgiving of this year (2024). We booked Icon on a previous cruise, 2 years in advance at the cost of 1500 per person after tax and gratuities. It is now at 3300 last I checked per person before tips and gratuities. Needless to say, the sooner you book, the better.

So let me get this straight you pay over almost $300 per adult and you can only eat $20 worth of food? So what happens if you go to a restaurant and its like $40 for the food?

This is fantastic the review is exactly I wanted to hear about the cruise ship. You gave good description of the ship and gave both sides of the entertainment, food selection, and all the other venues. Beause of your review of the ship I will consider to book a trip.

Wheelchair users will find this ship an absolute nightmare at or near capacity. We regularly had to wait up to a half hour to get on the elevators while we witnessed lazy people going up and down just one floor. Try getting a table in the buffet! I wish we’d chosen a much smaller and less expensive ship.

Good review. And confirmed to me that a cruise would be my worst nightmare. Stuck on an ugly floating hotel with a few hours visiting places worth seeing. And costing a small fortune. No ta.

Excellent review especially comparing Oasis class to Icon. Any thoughts on 3 people in the Ocean View balcony room?

For those viewing this video now, and wondering about the drink package price. I've seen it go as low as 35% off per person, so the buy one get one 50% is not the best deal. You just need to wait and check everyday as it went down to 35% off multiple times from what I saw

Just subscribed. Like others have said, this was the best review. Lots of footage of the actual ship, no wasted footage of you just sitting there talking to the camera. Everything was short and to the point. When you said that The Pearl was "just a staircase", I knew this was going to be a great video. I probably won't go on this ship because it looks so overwhelming for my taste, but I do appreciate having an actual honest take on it. Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff.

How many times a day can you go to the restaurants? Is it only 1 lunch or dinner per day or is it truly unlimited (eg 2 dinners in 1 day if you want)?

4:34 - Those receptacles are NOT called "U.S." They are called "NORTH AMERICAN" receptacles!!! The States are not the only country to use the North American receptacles, that's why those receptacles are NOT called "U.S." receptacles!!! Calling them "U.S." receptacles purposely EXCLUDES ALL other North American countries where those receptacles are used. It also shows your extreme ignorance and they typical arrogance that the citizens of your country have towards everything, and why SO many countries hate your country! Keep that in mind when you narrate your next video and say offensive things. As for me, this is where I stop watching your video, and I give you a big thumbs down for insulting SO many North American countries!!!

loling at "first off this is not a comprehensive review" haha. perfect. i made a video on legoland in CA and said the same thing haha. it is WAY overpriced for what it is. i get that it's themed and it's very well done but come on. while you won't get the same level of experience at the cartoon network hotel in PA it's a way better bang for your buck with the kids. great review. would love to hear your takes on great adventure and hershey!

We were on the Maiden voyage of Icon. We also booked the day they opened up so we also watched the price go up to double what we paid for our balcony. I agree with everything you brought up except I found the Aqua Show to be terrible but we loved the aqua theatre. We watched the show and with the new free food venues right there we had plenty of snacks. I truly enjoyed the Wizard of Oz. Best show afloat. I have a video of the ship leaving Coco Cay on my KZbin channel, sped up like 40 times. The Icon class is the best ship class afloat, we will be going back ........ as soon as the novelty wears off and prices come down. Thanks for the video!
