There is no such thing as a 1979 Polaris Colt. Their last year of production was 1978, in 79 the Colt 250 was replaced by the Gemini and the Colt 340 was replaced by the Apollo. What you have is a Polaris Star which did not come until at least 82 I think. Their manufacture date should be on the side of the chassis usually in the summer before the model year, ie summer 81 manufacture date would be a 82 model. You have some nice vintage sleds I hope you keep enjoying them!
@overthetopblues6 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely correct!! I've restored so many sleds, including an old Colt or two, so a honest oversight. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, and yes I do have a lot of vintage sleds, and I do enjoy them. )

My great grandfather turned 92 a week ago and for his b-day I got him a 1961 Polaris snowmobile don’t know what model it is because the sticker is gone the original owner said it was rolled down a 47 foot tall hill and it got lost somewhere during the accident he said he fixed it up ALOT since it rolled down the hill. My grandfather started crying after he saw it because his father died in an accident on the exact same snowmobile that I got him.
