Seems like the theme you're trying to create is causing you to put more effort into its presentation and less effort into creating music that is memorable and distinctive. You've got to put the music FIRST and build a cosmetic style SECOND.

I just pulled out their first cd to listen in my car, and help get ready for Halloween. It's an excellent instrumental CD, with a little funny dialogue between few of the songs.

This brings to mind "THE MONKEES" TV show - the very best part of their show was a "music video" at the end of each episode. Yes they were ahead of their times. One such video had them cavorting around in capes and monster masks ( and other costumes) - this much more focused version refines that very cool imagery. OH! It's like "THE MONKEES" mashed-up with "The MUNSTERS"! - Dig that!

not sure how that was possible. The band called it quits after the death of Rob Graves in 1990. I went to the memorial concert at The Roxy.
