Make sure to sand and tape all corners which will get covered by the fabric just in case. My fabric didn't hold up that well after a few years, separating at the edges. It's a minor step to do and maybe isn't even needed depending on material used. But better safe than sorry.

Just a quick question from a beginner. I'm using Logic Prox on Mac. I generally copy a vocal track and save it before any repairs in case I don't like what I do. On the copy track, I generally use Rx after repairing manually obvious clicks and sounds. Then I run the RX in either multi or single band. Once you have repaired a vocal track, should you turn off RX right for the rest of the mixing process? Said another way, are those repairs final on your track or do you need to keep RX running to have those repairs always valid (like reverb or EQ that you can take on or off) This may seem like a very naive question, but the detail is never mentioned in the instructions for using the RX and assumes the user understands...If you keep it on, either it won't find anything else if the track has been repaired, or it will keep repairing the same clicks....What would be terrible, is that it keeps diminishing and changing the track for as many times as you play through...Sorry if the answer is obvious and thank you for your patience.

I'm looking for some suggestions on other De-Click plugins. I'm using mac oS Catalina with Ableton 10... and it looks like Izotope RX 11 is not compatible. I have the Waves De-Click plugin, but am looking for something more effective. Does anyone know of any other de-click plugins that could be compatible?

Those plug-ins take up too much processing power to not have latency. You need to render them out or apply the effect rack.

I think this cost more than $25. I would guess $40-$60 at least with all the materials, glue etc. And you need machinery/ tools too. Still cheaper than $100 but the time you have to invest is a consideration to go and buy something in offer.
@VOTECHGURU8 ай бұрын
In 2016 they came in at just under $25 per panel, all-in. Not sure about now. Tool’s are listed in the description and are assumed or they have access to the tools for anyone who would take on a project like this. Not meant for anyone who’s not handy.

what plugin did you use to show the mouth clicks visually, thats super helpful. Also, when I play the audio with isotope de click on, the sound is massively delayed? anyone else experiencing this? and can explain what im doing wrong? thanks
@VOTECHGURU9 ай бұрын
I used the declicker itself to output the clicks. Check the video again and you'll see me check the little "output clicks only" box. Also, the RX plugins are very heavy on using up computer resources so they won't run well in real time. The way I teach is to do the rough edit for your voice first and then process the rack (to mp3 or wav or whatever) instead of trying to listen for edits with the rack turned on in real time. It's MUCH faster that way. Thanks for watching!

@@chxrlzchucky7509 I do know about it but you would have to use a ton of towels to reach the coefficient I look for. @VOTECHGURU10 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! You would build triangle shelves in the corners and then put a solid face frame on those, then mount to the face of the frame. Just make sure the triangle shelves are wide enough to take on the width of whatever panel size you're mounting. Make sense?

Anyone run into an issue where Home Depot won't cut the MDF into 3" wide pieces? They said a policy went into place that only allows them to cut into 6" max width.
@VOTECHGURU Жыл бұрын
That has come up a lot since I created the video and many potential solutions have emerged. 1. Purchase wood that is already close or near 3" in width, then cut and build. 2. Have a cabinet shop cut them for you, but there may be diminishing returns based on how many panels you are building. If a ton, it's totally worth it. If not, then no. 3. Have a neighbor with a table saw who knows what they are doing cut up the sheets for you. Sorry about their change in policy. That really sucks.

There was an existing ceiling vent above the booth on the right side so we built a plenum above the booth to slow down and kill the noise from the rush of air into the room. The result was a nice and smooth quiet flow into the booth as well as the area outside. Hope that makes sense!
