If the processor is an R10K - which I think it might be looking at the motherboard, you can only have one hard disk, so the missing slot may be entirely intentional. You've got a complete bargain there, even allowing for the rust. The fact it's getting as far as it is is likely to mean Irix is on the hard drive too. RAM is completely custom yes, if you're lucky you can get some for a reasonable price off ebay but considering Irix is the only OS you're likely to run on it that's not a huge issue (NetBSD still supports it, possibly Linux can still be persuaded to do so, OpenBSD dropped support a while ago)

it says the processor is a R5000, not sure yet but i think i have some issues with the cache, i need to investigate more, but the hardware diagnostics fail, at least it does something so it has potential! and yeah my idea is only to run Irix, i can run other stuff in any other hardware i have around. im still really happy about this computer!

@@krisssstronggg5178 at this point you can use a raspberry pi to easily do this without a radio, or a flipper zero, or a hackrf with a porta pack

wow yeah i checked and these are really expensive now! i think i got lucky, i had an orange one years ago and i had to sell that one for almost nothing. the whole flea market thing is really weird, i think i find one "big" nice thing every year, most of the time is mostly used clothes and appliances

Really neat. I'm more used to seeing those full tower cases like that in the AT era rather than an ATX form factor. It's interesting that the PSU is still in it's same kinda odd position in the middle of the case as most full towers did.

I realize this is completely unrelated to the video, but i have to ask, how exactly did you make your soundblaster 16 CT2290 work in your ibm 5155? Diagnose.exe doesnt work due to the 8088 not having the instructions necessary, and Unisound alone isnt making it work, what exactly do you do to initialize the card? If you could help me figure this out it would be greatly appreciated.

I just launch unsound after booting, on my autoexec.bat I set the blaster variables before. Other than that I don't do anything special

@@kiwatech Yeah, i actually managed to get it working just minutes after commenting, turns out I was setting my blaster values up wrong...
