What are the rules for choosing your 5 choices? As far I ask know you choose 3 provinces. But are there any other rules ?

Yes, well sort of, we talked about it when discussing the health care facilities and how foreigners are treated different depending on where they come from/ skin colour.

What happens when a child is born with AFDS? Does the disorder go away when the child grow or will lead to some serious medical problems
@xyzydoucare11 ай бұрын
Let's also talk about how alcohol addicted fathers effect the mental health of their children at such a young age to the extent that it scars them and causes personality changes here to be for a lifetime. These fathers simply create chaotic households which are just toxic for the growth of a child. Let's jail these men too.

Why only women, because they are the ones carrying the baby. But when a man is drinking his body chemistry changes and even his DNA. It very well affects the fluid that comes from him too. So he is an equal partner if the fetus has the disease.

Criminalizing this is like offering a bandage for a serious illness. It’s an attempt at a quick fix for a complex sociopolitical and socioeconomic problem. This is not the solution. These women and families need support and a more well rounded solution.
@LethukwenamaLetsoalo11 ай бұрын
I totally agree, this is treating a symptom of a greater social ill.

That’s a violation of their human rights. If we start criminalizing addiction MORE and putting PREGNANT PEOPLE IN PRISON how exactly is that going to help their baby? Being born into an unsafe prison medical room while their mother is shackled (they still do that a lot even if they say they don’t), not close to a hospital in case of complications, and then being taken away from their mother even if the mother is sober? Spending the last months of their development eating non nutritious prison food and getting subpar prenatal care? The mother having MORE access to drugs in prison and maybe starting those if she can’t get alcohol because she has a disease? How about actually TREATING alcoholism and making accessible affordable pregnancy tests, prenatal care, and contraception!

Am a Namibian Medical student, graduating soon. I kinda envy people that go outside of Africa to go study medicine, the requirements for entrance is so low and the programs are not as tedious. In Namibia we have same the curriculum as South African one very tedoius😢 the sad part is everyone now wants to be a doctor because its easy to get abroad and the money is good.
