PRK both eyes. 22 years later I regret the worse irreversible damage I did to my eyes. Very very poor night vision and severe eye dryness. Nothing seems to help. Can't drive at night and low light spaces scare me.

I am so tensed, is the procedure painful? Should I go for it or should ai stick with my spectacles?
@amidalavendel5089Ай бұрын
There are risks which could stay. For example constant pain like every day, really dry eyes, which makes them more sensitive , halos, blindness etc. Google jessica starr for example.. It is important to know, that it can go wrong also. So inform yourself before doing it really, really good.

My Dr. was British and told me about his hometown's rolling countryside. He just kept talking to me and trying to make me laugh. My anxiety was insane that day. It was, kinda, terrifying getting it done. You lose basically all vision for a minute or so, like trying to look through an almost completely opaque stained glass window. You could only see colors and blurs of light. At that moment, you're thinking WTF did I sign up for, then you hear of the British lands and imagine that beautiful countryside. Then your vision comes back and you can see. It burns, but after a nap, you're all good. In the procedure, I felt like it was a terrible choice I made after it was one of the best so far! *4 years ago now

Just had this done a couple days ago and wanted to see the outside perspective. Love the results. Tbh the squeegee when they close the flap feels so good. It was like the best eye ball scratching I’ll never get to feel again lol 😂

Bullshit. I had prk done and its a nightmare. I have to massage my eyes every morning before I open them otherwise the eyelid sticks to the eyeball and it feels like I'm peeling a band aid off of my eyes. Worst decision of my life.

@mcharbo87262 ай бұрын
@@ivankovwink1311 it still persists. 14 months later. Sometimes I wake in the middle of the night and my eyes open instinctively, and I have burning pain and tears for about 15 minutes. It makes for many restless nights.

What on earth.... So the endothelial cells behind the cornea get scraped, too, or is this in the epithelial of the cornea? And also. Would this kind of scrapping hinder the non regenerative endothelial cells behind the cornea?

So does that mean I can’t get laser eye surgery I’ve been legally blind since I was 12. I just wish I had clear eyesight in my right eye and my left eye. I’m not fully blind just blurry vision. I’m seeing memories and different colors and stuff in my eyes, I just wish that I could wake up in my side. Be totally clear. I keep having dreams about being having clear eyesight. I hope surgery can help my mom, but she said it’s not that kind of problem. We don’t know what it is. Maybe our surgery could help keep trying to tell her to try it out and see what happens, we can only see time. God bless me alike on the comment one like equals one prayer.

eventhough the procedure was successful " in theory" , it literally destroyed my life as some unpredictable " brain -eye " complications occured in the sense that my accommodation , depth perception and 3D vision were altered and my brain couldn't adapt correctly so it started to create Amblyopia -like symptoms to suppress my left eye......i bet even the surgeon in the video wouldn't know it could end up as bad......

I want my mummy. Great video though. Gives a good idea of what to expect. I'd probably go for the Nasa version where it's £3k for both eyes (1.5k each), and no involvement with cutting flaps?
