Stagecraft deluxe. Great to hear all those Halloween songs from long ago. I'd not heard a lot of them. But, the voicews are very familiar!

This is fantastic! Wish I'd seen it before :::checks clock::: 4:20 (nice) on Halloween afternoon, LOL. I've got it saved in my haunt tips playlist for next year.
I built a cage for my FCG made out of electrical (3/4") EMT but it was really heavy, tough to assemble and just very bulky. I did use a large bolt of black felt to conver the cage and it worked great. I'm considering PVC now. But it's also possible to just hang the mech from the ceiling if you don't mind putting up some ceiling hooks. Thanks for your video!

The ghost which I named Marietta has evolved over the years. In my opinion, she's aged well! Click the link below and see if you agree. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJWVdqCYardnY8k

Nicely done! I'm building one using a pellet stove auger motor, 2 rpm. I originally tried a rotissirie motor that I got from Amazon for cheap, but it was a piece of junk with no torque. The pellet stove motor could pull a car out of a ditch!

George, this is awesome. I've had a FCG identical to this one for years, but have been looking for a way to move it inside with a cage like you had done here. Is there any way to post (or send) dimensions along with any guidance for creating a PVC cage like this? Great job.
@GeorgeGlover3 жыл бұрын
Thanks RH:) It's been over eight years and it's great to see she (and the cage) are still being appricated. Here are the details: The height (length of four poles) is 7 feet. Basically the height of the ghost plus a foot or so for her to "float" up and down. Front to back of the cage (length) the cuts are around 3'5". the cuts for the width is a little shorter, 3'. Allow enough space for the ghost to move. I think the more compact the better...I've set her up a inside phone both at the company I worked for ... also on a balcony of the Marriott Hotel for a number of Halloween parties we've done. Important tip for set up and storing: The top section is clued together as is the bottom section. Not the Poles. When setting it up, I lay the bottom section down, stick in the 4 poles then place the top section on. Attach the ghost, wrap the plastic around the sides and back and she's ready to go. Takes about 15 or 20 minutes. Marietta (the flying ghost) has transformed over the years. She's like an old bottle of wine, she gets better and better as she grows older. Here she is from last years window spot...plus a few other videos of her in the YT List if you like. Hope that helps. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJWVdqCYardnY8k

Papa G, you da man, brother! P.S.: "It's About That Time" is credited to Mr. Davis.
@GeorgeGlover4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Brother! It's About That Time...Credited Yes, written by No. Along with other Zawinul interviews and according to Wikipedia: Zawinul claimed he was responsible for the melodic bass line and descending melody to "It's About That Time" but was not credited. He blamed Macero for this as he "always put things together so that it came out as if Miles had written it. But that's not correct". Considering how Miles was credited for Bill Evan's "Blue and Green", I'm sticking with Zawinul for "It's About That Time".
@sirqitous4 жыл бұрын
Wow! I hadn't heard that, or had forgotten it. Then I'll certainly go with Zawinul on that too. I do know about how they released "Orange Lady" on the Big Fun crediting it to Miles, I don't know if they ever got him the royalties he was due!

Nice job on the cage. I ran out of time and could not set up my ghost in the new house. I'm going to build a cage like this because my old setup won't work. Please leave this video on YT.
@GeorgeGlover7 жыл бұрын
Will do. Having a cage makes the FCG completely portable. I even set her up in a telephone booth where i used to work. You can find videos on my channel where she is set up at the Marriott and a local county club. Enjoy.

Thank you PL, it's already been 4 years! The ghost (and cage) has become a regular at the W.C. Marriott for the last 3 Halloween parties, for this reason I've named her Marietta:-) kzbin.info/www/bejne/j16kZ6CAf8ubpas (look for Miss M at 1:47)
