Not sure if these are southern animals, or their northern counterparts. All I can say is, as a northern Canadian, with much familiarity with these two amazing creatures, is that, although many people think a W (wolverine) can kill a ML (mountain lion - we usually call them mountain lion up here), because a W can usually chase a single ML away from a carcass, these people are dead wrong. Because all animals are highly risk averse, the W plays a psychological game of all out attack, which causes most animals to run and find something else to eat, as this meal is not worth the risk of injury. Even small injuries can lead to an animals eventual death in some way, as there are no vets in the wild. So animals always weigh the risk, and take the sensible route. A W can kill many larger animals, but not all. If you observe around the 0:26 mark of this video in slow motion, you can see the W - as fast and furious as it is - cannot penetrate the guard of the ML. Each W attack actually ends with the ML dodging the attack, and countering with a powerful blow, knocking the W down. Even though the ML vacated the scene, it was the sensible thing to do, because it can hunt something else and get no injuries. Yet there are times when a ML will not vacate a carcass under any circumstance, and that is a mother who has a couple of cubs. With cubs, a female ML sees food as pertaining to the survival of her cubs, and therefore, she will defend that carcass to the death, even from a grizzly bear. A ML intent on fighting to the death will absolutely rip a wolverine to shreds, make no mistake.

there is another video that shows the two fighting for about 10 seconds and the wolverine won.. why do you think ANYONE would believe your words? we ALREADY have video to show us. this video they didnt fight. the wolverine chased it away.. the other video here on youtube, the two animals actually FIGHT.. that video contradicts the 6 paragraphs of crap you wrote

not really. a wolverine can sustain a lot of damage. a puma cannot. they are all offense or evade. they cannot resist injuries like a wolverine can

Frage: Lohnt sich dieser Film für einen mehr oder minder heiteren Filmeabend mit anderen Otterfans oder ist das ein arg trauriger Film? Die Kommentare lesen sich jedenfalls so.

This was young otter and a young Anaconda. When they are both adults, Otter will have a clear advantage since its speed will only increase and its bite force will mean it only has to land 1 lethal attack on the snake.

Hi Theodor! I love your videos! I'm working on a facts video about minks and other mustelids. Would it be possible to use some clips from your videos? That would be so helpful in showcasing their unique behaviors.
