How could Pat possibly top the release of Letter from Home and Still Life Talking with the group? Someone he manages to do so with Secret Story....I read that he was going though some hard times around release of this CD...you can really feel the emotion on this cut and the ones that follow on the CD.

Devastatingly and impossibly gorgeous. This record was new as I was dealing with the loss of love. There's nothing that comes as close to representing those feelings musically than this does. These images are a fantastic complement.

This song is so beautiful.. it reminds me of something done by composer Thomas Newman..

...Loveliness is never far away...a raindrop, an owl in the deep night, shadow, light, the wind through wheat, a hummingbird, the way women move, an old forest, vast meadow, an untouched mountain stream, night walking above treetops, a waltz of clouds...I wish I had heard this music once upon a long time ago in the A Shau Valley..."...I am certain of nothing but the holiness of the Heart's affections and the truth of the Imagination..." (Keats)...Blessings to all points of the compass... James Patrick Casey, Esq.

Heart wrenching song. Filled with missed opportunities and loss. Yet you can't help not listening to it and revisiting the passed.
Brilliant Channel- I really enjoyed watching! Best wishes, Max

I have all but one of Pat Metheny and Group, Albums. Each is unique and deep and finely detailed both in technical virtuosity as well as emotion content. Being artistic some cuts are exploratory, but in all I love this music and grateful this master and his support musicians, Lyle Mays in paticular. Thank you, J Failing

Nice use of black and white photos (no color) to compliment this colorfully sentimental song by the master--Pat Metheny

WOOOOW, I didn't yet know this existed. I always thought much of his music was symphonic; fit for orchestra. And isn't the title alone melancholic and sad like nobodies business?

@trinaunz Yes, yes, your description is right on, it is painfull to listen to but the music says it all......it's exactlly how it was for me in a break up with a girlfriend, the immense grief and guilt I felt is there in the music.
