What a long train of cars! Endless. I saw a clip detailing how these engines pull so much weight due to least frictional forces at work. Thank you for a great video.

I think they carry gypsum from a few places along the Saginaw Bay West Shore. I don’t know if they service the farm elevators anymore but I thought I saw sugar beets being shipped to the processing plants via rail. The plants are in Sebawing, use to be in Caro, Bay City. I’d rather it go by rail. Those guys driving tandem semi’s at 70mph with uncovered load along the roads I use to jog on were a little frightening. A 5# sugar beat at 70mph to the head is a death blow. The sheriff looks the other way during the fall beat harvest chaos.

This video shot above taken at Pontiac (MI) Amtrak depot looking northwest towards the Pontiac Yard and Durand, Amtrak engine#57 was cut off from Amtrak train#350 and will be on Train#355 tomorrow.

folks as of 2013 this turn of the century American (4-4-0) is the NEWEST steam locomotive in the US. Built only a few years ago using original blue prints for a 4-4-0. The company that made this beauty is already working on another 'replica'
