i am a 17 year old apart of a jazz ensemble in pennsylvania and appreciation for this genre of music is almost non-exsistent these days. you guys are incredible for REALLY understanding the greatness of jazz and you can tell it touches each and everyone of you. this arrangement is so beautiful, and this experience must have been so great! cheers from west chester pa =)

justin is such a cool duder...i was in this frickin jazz program too.. too bad he had to wait till it wasn't at memorial anymore to get famous :P

and i still want to know what you mean by "anti-conservative." i'll let the comment about duke ellington slide, because i'm sure you've realized by that only the biggest of posers would disrespect one of the greatest composers of all time, and disregard the effect of his music on bands like bon iver, among others.

the kids aren't interpreting the songs. and sure they sound shaky in rehearsal. if you hear the final version for the concert they sound great.

what the hell does "anti-conservative" mean? these kids played great on the album, where he only sang two bon iver songs, it's for a duke ellington tribute you clown.

yeah, in the same way that anything you ever do should never be exposed to or disseminated by or amongst the next generation. I'd rather say, you suck and everyone else rocks!
