Jesus, the answer is so disappointing. I thought that somehow the Russian stole Paulie’s car and ran away and the mystery for me was: why the Russians didn’t come back to get some revenge?

As an Asian American man when he laughed and sarcastically asked about getting that “honkey education and being president” that hits home a lot of us Asian men in the western world being in entertainment, acting and music.

Any other year Newman would have won the Oscar. But it was 1982 and the year of Gandhi, thus Sir Ben Kingsley won the Best Actor award. A case can be made that this could have easily been a tie similar to 1968 with Barbara Streisand and Katherine Hepburn. Still this might have been Paul Newman’s greatest acting.

Excellent upload / movie, bro! I met Peter Mullan at a 'The Proclaimers' gig in Glasgow about 12 years ago. He stopped for a chat (my fanboy gushing) and let me take a pic with him. He actually stopped for every person that asked him and the gig was sold out, it was packed. What a gentleman.

Waxman made an incredibly stupid move slugging Ric with that piece of art. He must have thought Ric was going to kill him after getting back his counterfeit paper, but Ric was too good a businessman to kill a customer who was making huge purchases from him. Also stupid of Waxman to hide a gun where he couldn't get to it quickly. He should have kept a loaded handgun in a magnetic holder on the underside of his desk so when he needed it he could have it almost instantly.

It's always hard to forfeit something in order to get the One Thing that's become more important than the something but what's harder is not going back to that something, once the One Thing's been achieved.

good movie, but even in 1982 it didn't look contemporary. I never understood why it looked so old fashioned.
