In 1970,I was stationed in Holy Loch Scotland, and took a jaunt to Edinburgh Castle for a Tattoo, and Heard this for the first time ever, and WOW,,talk about raising hairs on your arm,,,no matter how many times I listen to this,I ALWAYS HOLD IT DEAR TO MY HEART !!!,,Always wanted to one day go back to Holy Loch, but I haven't yet,,,sigh sigh,,,,If you ever get the chance,I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you go when the Tattoo is happening, and maybe you will be lucky enough to hear this in person as I did !!! Heard this song for the first time at a funeral of a firefighter in Brussels Belgium. A lone firefighter with a bagpipe walked in front of his colleagues carrying their fallen brother whilst playing highland cathedral. The sound went through bone and spine and I have never forgotten about it ever since.

This is the most magnificent piece of music I have ever heard. In the first occasion I burst into tears, something I'd never experienced before.
