My mom attached herself to this song when we finally lost my grandma. She had finally lost both of her parents. I lost both of my grandparents. I too now cling to this song and I don't have her memories, but it kill me to think that someday, I will lose my parents, too.

My daddy Passed away last year. July 1st 2023. I cry almost every week. I look at strangers and think to myself would it be wrong of me to ask that dad over there for a hug? Would it be wrong of me to sit at the park and just cry? I miss him more than anything. I just wish someone would see how much im hurting. I needed him and now hes gone...

Fun Fact In the original recording of the song that was played on the Radio stations. It was the great Jan Howard who sang the "Mamma sang Tenor" part. Johnny hired Jan to record and sing that part. And of course the great Statler Brother sang the ""me and little brother" part. I love the History of Country Music.

For those that do not know that is the the Carter Sisters (musical group) on the left with June Carter in green (Johnny Cash's wife), on the right in suits is the Statler Brothers I believe.

It's a scientific fact that America was a great country because the Carter's were our royalty, just compare to them to the weridos in England!
