I could never learn by tabs, I learn by watching and listening
@tethys17Күн бұрын
I asked the shop assistant a few years ago and they honestly just stared into space like "i have no idea" but why would someone buy a single pedal when you can get ones for the same price that have around 99 effects in one? Genuinely puzzled why they even make both.

Sounds good!! I hope you have better luck than me!! I bought the Blues King12... Played it in the shop, took it home... it died!! My mate had a look at it, made of really cheap parts, so l took it back. Gutted cos it did sound great.

Great lesson. Just got through playing it on my 6120. Clear instructions at a perfect speed. I really like the note value notation on the tabs you had up on the screen. Also, "Finger Meat" will be the name of my new band.

I have been spending a lot of time with your Dinosaur backing track that you helped me with during one of our private lessons a while back. My Em scales and timing are improving. Looking forward to seeing your follow up to this 12 bar track and the extra material on Patreon👍🏻 I’m finally getting settled in after over 8 months of travelling / running around and going to hop back on your Patreon channel. Thanks!

Rather obvious discovery for a 'newbie' like me-but tune to open D (DADF#AD) and capo on the second fret- for open E. lots of blues players did this,(and less strain on the guitar neck?) Thanks again Nico,opening up a whole world of possibilities!

Good deal. I have a question on your sound. I know that a lot of folks who play rockabilly music play a hollow body guitar. My question is which pickup are you playing through......the bridge, neck, or both? I'm not new to playing guitar, but I am new to rockabilly and I'm trying to get that "sound" and having a bit of trouble with it. Also, in terms of the settings on your amp, are you turning the bass and mids down a bit and the treble up, or is everything set at the middle? How do you have your amp set up? Thanks!
@DEATHRAYCAT2 күн бұрын
Hello! It’s not a one size fits all answer I’m afraid, I like to use either pick up depending on the sound I’m after. And every amp is gonna behave differently and in different rooms with different guitars etc… the best answer is to use your ears… does it sound too bassy? Turn down the bass. To harsh? Turn down the treble. Experiment and get to know the sounds. Trust your ears! Hope that helps!
