Your argumentation is not consistent. First you argue that the opponent in a street fight is most likely not a trained fighter and should be treated accordingly, but then you say that kicks to the groin don't work in the street because a trained fighter knows how to defend them. Have you ever knocked someone out on the street?
@haianhle85115 күн бұрын
That's how you know a fighter. When you are trained enough, you know there are so many situations, and one technique won't work for all. And for street fights, it's all about being quick and effective in that situation.

Nice video. Same here I question a lot about self defense. My main art is Jiujitsu coz I seriously don't like being on the ground in a fight especially when I was a kid but I also trying to learn boxing/Muay Thai at home I find it a great exercise and nice doing it outside. Since you have a lot of experience. It would be a nice to see a go to video about combination from standing to take down to control or run away😊
@SicatKickboxing8 күн бұрын
@warhawksmemories3071 Thanks for watching and for your feedback. I definitely think it's beneficial to learn all aspects of martial arts because everything is interconnected. As a kickboxing practitioner I am very confident in stand up without being arrogant. It's also nice to know some grappling, so at least you get a sense of what people's intentions are when they are trying to grab on to you or clinche you. Overall, knowledge and repetitions of application to that knowledge is key.

I can see that the strike will distract your opponent and put his attention in his lower half of his body and in doing so allows his upper body to be open for the elbow, strike, great idea and solid technique and fight strategy

Great video and certainly on point one question when you do the switch knee what targets do you use for the knee strike before you use the elbow keep up the good work
@SicatKickboxing13 күн бұрын
Just to the abdomen and the reason why I use an angle knee is to keep from hitting their elbow and taking damage but yes, it is just a distraction mostly to freely land the elbow considering you manage close distance

Would you be so kind as to do a video tutorial on hand and arm placement during a kick? Arm position during a kick is important for defence and balance, so knowing exactly where the upper limbs ought to placed increases your defence, plus the added benefit of avoiding a counterstrike. Thank you.

Great job on those explanations! You did that really well. I myself as a hobby fighter never thought of stpping my front foot out on an angle to kick. I was always struggling with the straight step back to kick. But here´s also some constructive criticism: You did the explanations really well, but for me it was too long. I understand what you´re saying the first time, I would prefer if you didn´t explain over and over again. I had to skip those parts. But besides of that, great video! Keep it up!!
