The mud is a waste of time and effort the rock wall is plenty to keep a good fire hot and let it breath

Huh normally when I'm backpacking I never have big tools like that.... more like, you walked a certain area then planned. You gotta be up front with people.

Never build in a cave. Have a look at all that splintered rock lying around on the valley floor. What does that tell you. It tells me it’s not there from water erosion but from geological activity that could end up ending your life

Yes I heard when you add the fire in that it also weakens the rock above . Very dangerous

I think the hardest part of this idea, besides all the hard work, would be to make a stable wall that doesnt fall over. Especially using rocks the way he did.
@BassPotter4620 күн бұрын
Yeah. Maybe build a couple buttresses along the outside would help a lot. Just more work.👍

I find the construction to be pathetic. No level, plumb-bob, forms, no consistent shaped building blocks. Insulting!! Lol. Awesome job, man.

Every time I watch one of these I wonder why no one brings a trowel. It’s flat pack, has little weight and is the best tool for the job by far.

Good way to get bed bugs Good way to have that rock over your head split and crush you. Not a good way to camp. People don’t listen to this guy.

Dangerous choice should never shelter under rock overhang!! Especially when placing a fire under the rock the heat can cause the rocks to crack causing a collapse

Why do people MAKING VIDEOS wear camouflage? I mean what if God forbid you need help and the rescue people can't find you because ...😮
@Sleepindragon2Ай бұрын
They'll deal with it .... that's what self reliance is about.
@mothygryphon9111Ай бұрын
A lot of times it isn't a style choice but the most common colors for rugged outdoor wear that is resistant to tears, cutting, wear, is warm and versatile. With those design parameters, camo makes the most sense. As for being harder to see by rescuers, there is more chance that these lone "preppers" will be the ones to save the rescuers. They don't need to be rescued.

@mothygryphon9111 thank you for the explanation. I think anyone professionally or voluntarily going out to rescue someone is to be respected.

@Sleepindragon2 accidents don't distinguish between self-reliant and others, I believe. Nobody's perfect. Except for Mr. Perfect from the 80s WWF/E
