It was irritating to me that everyone who has this car and this code it was the charcoal vent valve except me. I wasted money on labor twice replacing it and the canister. My problem ended up being the purge valve on the throttle body. Key symptom being that my car wouldn't start after getting gas. So if you're having that problem, I just saved you a bunch of time and money. The purge valve is easy to replace and you don't have to get under the car.

My check engine light is on and for a while now...got it tested and it said small evap leak....If those little devices can diagnose WHERE the leak is coming from exactly either from gas cap being too loose, canister leak or tubing leaks it would save a lot of time and money spent to get it fixed by professionals...I was told EVAP leak diagnoses are a piss off by mechanics lol ....FYI I LOVE my "POS" honda civic lol
@jameshunt53162 жыл бұрын
Newer vehicles sensors do that exact thing, these have very basic functions.

Your evap monitor probably didn't run and the CEL will come back. By replacing the vent valve, it cured the CEL.

Do you guys do the oil like every 5-7k and the diff/transfer case etc like once a year? Just trying to feel out the best intervals since i might pickup one of these soon. They seem really good as long as you stay on top of the preventative maintenance

Yet another guy who has no idea what he is doing! He says he is changing the Active Yaw Control fluid in the rear diff, but he is only changing the fluid in the clutch section of the diff. The rear diff is made up of three separate sections and the AYC fluid needs to be change at the same time as the other fluids and to change the AYC pump fluid you need to drive the fluid using the MUT111 scan tool (or similar) through the bleeder valves on the rear diff and transfer case.
@MrJjburgess116 жыл бұрын
I read you don't have to change that fluid unless you are changing the whole ayc pump.
