Very inspirational video! I'm going to build my own house as well. Saving money at the moment, and searching for good locations to build. I use DreamPlan Home Design software and my future home is 95% ready. Need to sit and think for a bit for small alterations. I'm very very grateful for this video you made and posted. Master Claude, I have the same black spotting on my Honda engine cases I’m trying to clean up. I don’t want to use an acid because I know shortly down the road all my fasteners will be rusting. Think I’ll have to use a degreaser and wire wheels on a dremel tool.

About 2 years with planning and permitting. Sarasota building department is not known to be efficient or helpful to say it politely.

Yeah this is great. But the lack of communities or neighborhoods that allow boat parking on YOUR property is minimal. I can't believe how incredibly difficult it is to find a house in FLORIDA where you can park your boat. Boating capital but 90% of neighborhoods don't allow boat parking. Stupid!

sems USA start to learn that houses build in EU are far better and need to ditch the wood houses, but still there is long way to come near the level of build quality of EU houses

It's very subjective, US is much larger country and has multiple climate and geological zones. Building codes are very diverse, so things build in Arizona or Colorado will be absolutely different from Florida. As for wood frame homes in US, there are 2 reasons, earthquake requirements and affordability. Americans are very mobile nation and usually moving from one state to another often, so there are no need for generational family castles here. (For now at least)

It has, every few feet there are metal bars and fillers, it's called reinforced concrete. You can see bars sticking out of the base in the beginning of the video.

It doesn't cost anything really, you just buy a house planning software. There are plenty to choose from, ranges from free to 10k.

It's really depends on location and materials used. When you are ready to pull something like this, the price shouldn't be a concern. It's always double for sure 🤣
