Wow! A 19.0% tax increase. That’s bigger than I was expecting in 2026. I didn’t see this coming. At least they are making things easier for the future board(s). This is good long term planning. 8% increase accounts for inflation. The other 11% just proves government employees are the most powerful voting block in the county. 50 views tells me people don’t care. Just raise the taxes. Don’t raise the taxes. Not many people will notice one way or the other except county employees. They all stood up to show their power. So I guess raising taxes is the easiest decision to make when you know nobody is paying attention. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. The oil supply is unlimited when only 50 people watch them extract the oil from its citizens. County employees are more important than the citizens. That tradition will likely never stop.
