Oh yea what will happen to Millienium train, like any changes like getting dispatched from a specific line? Cant they added to T4 as it’s also almost old like the Tangara train?

@@MainTransportvlogs M sets are the same as the H sets. H sets can only be used with minimal frequency on the T4/SCO, the same goes with M sets. Also, M sets and H sets can’t run on the T4 at the same time or it will overload the power supply. At this stage M sets will continue serving the City Circle only, with H sets replacing the morning and afternoon K sets on the city circle too

I’m hoping as well as increasing services on the t4 during peak, they’ll also increase services in the off peak. A handful of stations on the line are serviced 2 trains an hour in off peak. Major stations like Hurstville have a minimum of 6 trains an hour so there’s no reason to increase services on some stations like Oatley. Considering that the line experiences overcrowded during peak, there isn’t an excuse to say there isn’t enough patronage to justify it.

Agreed and this WILL happen through the More Trains More Services program which is targeting both the T4 and T8. T4 through displaced Tangaras from the north shore, and T8 through displaced Waratahs from the T3. It’s all part of their plan 😃

I do like the T4, but the biggest complaint for me is the Redfern station connection, which is terrible. Town Hall isn't quite as bad (although that station deserves to be shut down and rebuilt to allow it to function properly). Once the Martin Place Metro station opens in a few weeks the line will be really well connected. Unlike everyone else I'm not going to complain about the Tangaras. Having such a frequent service, and a short ride from the east into the city, makes it easy enough. I'm also going to suggest that as nice as Bondi Beach is, it shouldn't be the destination of an expansion, which should instead loop down to Randwick/UNSW, Maroubra, Botany, before connecting with the airport stations and Wolli Creek. When combined with transit oriented development and moderate upzoning this will provide much better connectivity with this part of Sydney.

@@Secretlyanothername so true mate, and yes Redfern connection can take as long as Central platform 1 to suburban platforms depending on where you get off at Redfern. It’s sad that the new concourse wasn’t connected to the T4, although makes sense why. Tangaras as a singular fleet is bad, if it was used in conjunction to something else (like basically every other line), like M sets would be great for more modernisation. The lack of PIDs on Tangaras is the real reason why everyone complains about the Tangaras, and announcements can sound horrid at times (if ur new to the T4 u won’t have a clue where you are)

New intro video is great went from 4 dark/nighttime scenes to all daytime ones, though at the moment I miss the old music. Hopefully that will change once I have heard it enough

Will be interesting to see if they re-brand those BMT V-Sets to remove the TrainLink branding or just leave it in place rather than waste the money to remove just that part now that intercity are Sydney Trains. Given only the name part needs changing logo itself remains unchanged

@@markom3dgaming946 those are south coast services (intercity). They run from Bondi during peak hours on weekdays and full time on weekends. Some also form a few suburban all stops services in the morning peak hours

Found the video I was after, had to wait until I was on desktop, this will enable you to do a live edit to remove that 1:30 section of video after title that didn't get included. How to REMOVE MISTAKES from a published KZbin video kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYrSY2enl5iqY9U Been ages since I have used the live edit function and last time it worked, at least it did on unlisted videos. Should still work hopefully as its an easy fix to a simple editing mistake, happens to anyone who has ever uploaded. At least you didn't forget to include the sound like someone did on a 1.5hr video lecture and he didn't notice it until 2 weeks since it was a scheduled release :)

They are beginning CCN modifications on 11 stations, will receive new car markers 10/8/6/4 and moved balises in preparation to comply with the new operating model. This is to take place first weekend of August. It would seem that CCN will be the first line to get them as the April/May reports from Tfnsw indicate the process to convert/upgrade for NIF operations will take from Mid 2024 to 2026. This gels with some reports that SCO will get them in 2025. Hopefully that isn't the case though

@@Perpetual-sk2ee yes from what I’ve heard the order will be CCN, BMT then SCO. Also why CCN and BMT get almost daily testing, whilst the SCO only gets one run a day or a couple throughout the week. Mostly 6 car sets have been testing the SCO (in the night runs), whilst 10 car sets go on the CCN and BMT

@@SydneyTrainspotter One interesting thing noted in the trackwork documents has been the inclusion of references to 8 car NIFs, they will have their own dedicated marker and presumably balises for ASDO (Automatic Selective Door Operation). Plus we do know they can run and have run in 8 car configs. SCO has had some night 10 cars testing which should have been increased by now. Maybe now TfNsw being in charge of intercity might help them co-ordinate the testing more effectively than Trainlink.
